Customs Bar House is one of my favourite places for lunch during weekdays. They cater for small groups as well as big groups. Our department went there for a farewell lunch and they take pre-orders when we made the booking so the food would be ready when we get there, not having us to wait. I like their meatlover pizza and steak sandwich with fries. The dish size is quite generous and the prices are reasonably cheap in the CBD area. They serve all kind of drinks as well. They have different menu items at a discount daily on the board, so it's a good deal. It can get abit noisy inside though if the band is there.

Approximate cost: $16

I had dinner here this week - it is a great bar with good service and a good "bar" restaurant. The atmosphere is very conducive for chatting and my companion and I sat in the outdoor area - very pleasant. The cocktails are good (around $15) but the menu is not extensive. I had their famous Grilled Tasmanian salmon with cucumber chilli, mint salad ($19 - lovely, very reasonably priced), with some Bruschetta to start - again, good, tasty and a generous serving for $10 - but it's bread, not toast. My companion had Salt and Pepper Squid

Approximate cost: $20-25

I've met friends here after work and a great place for a drink before either going home or out to dinner. There was band playing last time I visited with good "pub music". Also serves good looking pub food.
