We went here for dinner as a kid-free night. It is a nice restaurant although the tables are all very close together. The service was prompt through the evening. The menu was very varied and there was a great specials board as well. The food was presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. Altogether a good experience

I've been to Da Nunzio's several times, and it's one of the few Italian restaurants in Canberra that is worth repeat visits. Beautiful, fresh food available on the menu and specials board, brilliant friendly service and a great wine list. The location is very nice - it would be better if the street had been better designed by ACT Govt so that the car park wasn't sitting directly in view of Yerrabi Pond (nice work, ACT Govt!). Fave dishes are the lasagne with home made pasta, antipasto and the Scaloppine da Nunzio. Best Italian food in Canberra (and I'm Italian myself, so it's where I go for a fix). Don't expect over-engineered dishes with jus and all that rubbish, just good Italian food.

Approximate cost: $32.00

I have now been to da Nunzio on two occasions. They have a beautiful location right next to Yerrabi Ponds (you can see the water from the window seats. Although it was quiet both times that I have been in there, the service was average at best. The waitress had to be reminded a couple of times of items that we had asked for. On the second occasion, the item that I wanted to order was not available because they had run out the night before. The food was quite good, but I thought that it was a little overpriced for what you got (especially the kids meals).

Approximate cost: $25

Thought we'd give it a try after reading an article on it a few months back. Great location, good service. Prices more than expected. Food disappointing. Meals were on the small side. Meat was slightly overcooked, pizza undercooked.

The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice however there was nothing that really set the place apart from other restaurants. The food was just OK (although my veal was a little dry and I thought my husband's veal was a bit on the small side). Our daughters ordered pizza but I thought the bases were a little doughy and under-done. For its location I think the prizes for their mails are a little on the high side.
