This company made promises they never kept and made numerous errors right from the start after I gave them my Hard Drive.

Weeks turned into months, so what was promised within a month took three months all up, only because legal action was threatened in the end. Their communication was minimal, vague and deceptive right throughout.

When updates of the progress of the recovery were requested, all that was given were excuses which led me to feel they were being dishonest and deceptive.

They were extremely expensive, $400 had to be paid upfront before any work commenced and the final cost was almost $2500. The drive was only 500Gb yet it took three months for a result.

They breached the privacy act by sending me data details of someone else’s recovery, and when confronted with this fact, they cared less about it.

I would never recommend this firm to touch anything of anyone’s, and highly recommend you go elsewhere.

I don’t normally write reviews good or bad due to being time poor but in this case I've made an exception to post a couple of reviews on a couple of sites. My external hard drive which had years of business data and family memories (including images and other records of my late parents) on it crashed. The team at data recovery express were thankfully able to recover my data despite the drive being very badly damaged. I opted for the priority option so the turn around and customer response was very good and prompt. When I got my data back I noticed that some of the less critical files I hadn't remembered to mention were missing from the recovery. I notified them and they immediately went back and looked at the recovery again, the data I was after was in a very badly damaged area of the drive however they advised they had located it and could recover but it would take about a week. Within a week they had come back and advised they had been able to get the majority of this additional data back – at no additional cost. Overall they went above and beyond the call of duty to help me get my newest business venture off the ground when it could have gone the other way. Their process was very clear and they couldn't have been more helpful throughout this difficult and very nerve wracking time.
