A huge thank you to Matt and Matthew for helping get our flooring rectified after ongoing slab level/flooring issues with our builder! The builder still tried to cut corners, but DCC said if they were going to work with them to fix it, they weren’t doing half a job and it all needed fixing properly. Matt from DCC and Matthew their flooring contractor did a fantastic job and we’re very happy that after 4 years and 11 months since handover…our slab was finally levelled and DCC installed a new floor that looks fantastic. We highly recommend DCC and thank them for helping to get our issues sorted.

Do not use Discount City Carpets for any work stay away. We had vinyl flooring installed by them during the construction of our new home. At handover it was noted the installation was not done correctly and would need to be rectified. That was back in July 2022 it is now January and the installation contractor has visited the home three times and each time he has said the whole floor needs to be ripped up and replaced. Three times!!!

Someone from Discount City Carpets also visited themselves and had the same conclusion. 8 months after handover and they have not rectified their work. They don’t respond to email they don’t respond to voicemail or return calls.

Do not engage with them at all they have zero after sales support.

City Discount Carpets are liars. Came out and laid carpet, wanted more money than what was on contract. They backed down. They said to bring the offcuts in and they would make runners for free. We dropped off the offcuts, we never heard from them again. Total liars, especially the pommy. Total scammers

Booked DCC for a quote and Daniel arrived within 20 minutes of the appointment time. He was friendly, chatty and made us feel comfortable. Did a complete measurement of the house and explained that as long as we emptied the cupboards etc, the carpet layers would move the actual furniture. Was a big relief to know we didn't need to shift the heavy items.
The quoted price was under what I had estimated. We paid a deposit and as long as we booked to have the job done within 18 months, all was good. Happy so far with the organisational part of it. Will post an 'edit' to this review, once the job is complete.

UPDATE: Job completed well. The carpet layers were on time, friendly and got the job done in 1 day. Would be happy to recommend.
