We went to the Parafield store a after searching for a chaise lounge over the internet and found a well priced one at DLC. We went to the store to have a proper look at it and upon entering the woman behind the counter looked up from what she was doing (maybe some invoicing) seen us walk in the store but didnt greet us or bother to come ask us if we needed a hand. After browsing the store for 5 to 10 minutes we managed to find the chaise we liked and had a sit on it and decided to purchase. Went to the counter and told the woman what one we wanted and placed the order. Not the best customer experience Ive ever had and was disappointed we wern't offered help. Although while we were looking around the store after buying the chaise (looking at home theatre lounges) another couple who were older than my wife and I entered the store to which the saleswoman got straight up from behind the desk, greeted them and asked if they needed any help. Would have thought my wife and I deserved that same sort of treatment but whatever I knew what i wanted anyway.

The suite surprisingly come in rather quickly. About 4 weeks before we expected it and we received a call the night before delivery. My wife was getting over a chest infection but with all the pandemic on she mentioned it to the guy on the phone and asked if they wanted to delay delivery to which we were told don't worry about that just wear a mask if you have one which we did.

Delivery driver rocks up the next day as my wife was standing out the front of our house saying goodbye to my sister who had visited with my niece. Two guys got out of the truck one being and older grumpy man. He rudely told my wife she was supposed to be wearing a mask to which my wife replied she will but she was just saying goodbye and didnt expect them there so early. She went inside and got the mask and come back outside to finish her goodbyes to her sister in law.

Grumpy old guy then proceeded to complain about his back being sore while bringing the couch in, this isn't something that would worry us normally but he wasn't swearing like a sailor whilst doing so. Very unprofessional to swear whilst in a customers residence. Especially while my 2 year old niece was present also.

Pros -So look the lounge we got is great, we are very happy with it. We done our research online and that paid off for us. The price was good too, $1500 for a 4 seater chaise with a large ottoman is good in my book. Quality seems good for the price point too.

Cons- Don't expect help in store unless you seem to be the same age as the old lady at the counter. Paying $90 for delivery to have an old grump be rude and swear is a joke.

Decent quality lounges at good prices, hopeless customer and delivery service.

I searched the internet all weekend looking for a LIFT RECLINER CHAIR for my Dad who just went into a Nursing home. .I came across Discount Lounge Centre at Parafield..Saw what I wanted straight away..Great price ay $899,,I ended up buying 2 of the same for both parents,and discounted then to $799 each.Im so happy with the service I received from 2 helpful staff.Thank you so much DLC Yours sincerely Sharron Fisher

Ridiculous they lost our couch somehow ??? Even paid for it the held it for a month and now it's apprently gone and we can't get it

We have been looking for a leather lounge for a while but other things keep jumping the queue ahead of it. However we had been to look at Discount Lounge Centre a few months before Christmas and had seen a couple of lounges we liked. On Boxing Day we wandered in again as we were nearby and decided to order. The lounges were good value for money and very comfortable with a great range of colours to choose from. We were told lounge would take 14-16 weeks to order and deliver and that suited us as we would need that time to save up the balance of the lounge. I was also told we would receive a phone call a week before lounge was due to be delivered. I wasn't expecting the lounge for a while but I was surprised to receive a phone call last Friday (which was only about 10 weeks) to say they would like to deliver our new lounge on Tuesday. Unfortunately as it was a long weekend that didn't suit us as I didn't have the money in my account but advised I could do Wednesday or Thursday. They weren't sure whether they could accommodate that but would ring the night before. They were as good as their word and did ring on Tuesday night to tell me that they couldn't do Wednesday due to a staff shortage but would do Thursday delivery. I found the delivery person very polite and helpful on the phone. They delivered mid morning when they said they would and again were very helpful and friendly. The lounge is as ordered and is very comfortable. I would recommend them if you're looking for a leather lounge!

We ordered a lounge suite at the end of January, we wanted it in a different colour than they had so they had to order it from China. We were told 12 to 14 weeks delivery, fair enough. Not far from the due date we received a letter saying there was a hold up in China and that it would be a few weeks late, fair enough!

After the date we were told, I rang to enquire. The man I spoke to on the phone was quite rude about me not having my invoice number infront of me (I was at work). So the next day my husband rang with the invoice number - which he didn't even seem to need when he spoke to a lady anyway.

Then followed weeks of being told it was on its way on the ship, in customs, at the warehouse but waiting to be unpacked etc, at no time would they give us any exact date when we could expect delivery.

Finally, another phone call to them and we were told that it was on the truck and that it would be delivered "within a few days" and that the driver would ring us the night before (this is FANTASTIC when you have to take time off work to stay home to wait for it and only get told the night before). Anyway we waited another few days and then my husband finally told them that if they didn't deliver it the next day we would ask for our desposit to be refunded and would go elsewhere on the weekend as we needed the couch urgently as I was having surgery.

Well what do you know, the driver rang up saying that he would make a special delivery to us as they didn't want to lose our sale. He was extremely rude to my husband about it and would not give him any approximate time other than 'in the afternoon'. We have no problems with the couch, it is just a cheap one but is quite comfortable and haven't found any problems with it as yet.

Thanks for the warning, we definitely won't be using this place. Customers can do without all the stalling and unnecessary delays. All we ever want is a reasonable service in a reasonable time.
