We regularly buy from Nick the best fresh fish I have tasted. The chips are so fresh and tasty that most fish and chips stores don't live up to. I always order the seafood pack with grilled fish and large greek salad. Then add some south melbourne steamed dim-sims Cannot go wrong.
Always service with a smile and consistently good value.

This place has changed hands - or something has happened - in just the last 6 weeks or so. Last night grilled fish came complete with brown greasy underside ( dirty grill?/just had cooked meat?) and the fish was not cooked properly. Further the prices had suddenly jumped by 30%... so wouldn’t go near the place again. To cap it off I spent the night on the loo after eating just a piece of the fish

We happened to be in the area and decided to try this fish and chips out. Nick, the owner, provided fast and friendly service. Great fish and chips too!

We've been regulars to DEF&C since the new owners took over in January. Service is always friendly and the product consistently exceptional. 

We have their fish and chips (fried and grilled flake), lamb souvlaki, fish burger and hamburgers. 

Their fish and chips are always golden, because the oil they use is always clean. We never feel heavy after eating their food. 

They are well priced for the quality that they produce. I've paid more at other take aways in the area and been dissatisfied. 

Without a doubt, the best fish and chips we've ever eaten. Would highly recommend.
