Dr Neil Israelsohn

can’t speak highly enough about Neil and his team. I have birthed two beautiful, healthy babies in his care and felt very supported throughout the whole journey, especially the difficult times. If you’re looking for a kind, professional, humble OB/GYN, he’s the man for the job!

throughout my (first) pregnancy i felt quite insecure as he never told me things were ok. When i went into labor one week early he was on leave and hadnt told me. I was in labor for 36 hours until he came to the hospital, when his leave had finished. I had significant blood loss in labor, which my gp picked up on 6 weeks post birth and organised an iron fusion. I felt like Neil should have been more aware of this. Ultimately my baby was delivered and he stitched me up well, but it wasn't a good experience.

Dr Neil and his team were amazing to deal with during my pregnancy and the birth of our first child. Neil is friendly, calm, approachable and most of all an absolute professional. He thoroughly explained what was happening at every stage and we felt comfortable, safe and confident in his hands as very anxious first time parents. We hope to be blessed twice to be able to deal with Neil again.

Extremely thorough and understanding obstetrician. After a mediocre experience with my first child I knew I wanted to change obstetricians. Neil really does go above and beyond. He fully supported my choice to have an elective csection after needing a csection with my first. He also fixed my original scar. Beautiful bedside manner.
My only regret is that I’m not having anymore children!

Just had my second son in the safe hands of Neil. He is the only obstetrician I would trust with my life and the life of my babies. With my second we had moved away from Melb so we drove back to Melbourne just to see Neil and have him look after us.

I had Dr Neil Israelsohn as a public patient at mercy due to higher risk pregnancy. He was consistently friendly, professional and went above and beyond throughout my whole pregnancy. I really can’t rate him enough! If you are going privately I highly recommend him. Yourself and your unborn treasure will be well looked after.

Fantastic doctor with good [redacted clinical content] bedside manner. Always went above and beyond to answer any queries or concerns. He was supported by a great team after hours and was gentle, reassuring and prompt (!) when my baby arrived early. I have no hesitation recommending him to my friends and family.

Neil has an excellent bedside manner, is patient and displays real care and commitment to his patients. His staff speak very highly of him. On the rare occasions where I've been seen by another Dr. that Neil works with, I have been reminded that Neil really does have absolutely outstanding interpersonal skills.

I can't recommend Dr Israelsohn enough. His bed side manner is impeccable. He is patient, professional, caring and calming. The latter Being incredibly important for a first time mum struggling with anxiety. I never doubted his instruction and trusted him wholly to get me and my baby through the experience of birth safely.

I saw Neil with my first pregnancy. He is very caring, gentle and always takes the time to answer any question. I've heard of stories where people would see different obstetricians through their pregnancy and would even have a different obstetrician deliver their baby. Neil was there for every single appointment and visited me several times both during labour and post delivery. As has been mentioned before, my midwives also spoke highly of him!

My last experience was an absolute pleasure which is why I am currently seeing him for baby #2. It's also worth noting that his fees are very reasonable.

Neil is wonderful! We had an outstanding experience with our first child, and will most definitely be going back for any subsequent children.

I saw Dr Kliman originally, and I'm so very pleased we made the switch to Neil.

His patience is seemingly endless, and he genuinely cares about his patients. He made my pregnancy & birth experience a truly wonderful one; I have no hesitations in recommending him.

His reception staff are also great, and the midwives seem to enjoy working with him, too (I see that as a great sign of a good Dr).

I saw Dr Israelsohn for the birth of my first child. He was the best decision that we could make. He was very professional, caring and knew exactly the right thing to tell me to make me comfortable. He knew how to deal with the minor issues that I had along the way. Would recommend him to everyone and will definitely use his services again when it comes time for number two.

I wish I had used him for the first two! Easy to talk to, very caring and visited me nearly everyday in the hospital. Really nice guy, very intelligent, down to earth - I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr Israelsohn made my first delivery painless and enjoyable. He was calm, comforting and very attentive to his patients. He would came to the hospital on Sunday morning or even at night when I needed my blood transfusion. Highly recommend his service and will definitely come back with our second one!

We were very impressed with Dr Israelsohn throughout the pregnancy and delivery of our second child. He was very informative and re-assuring especially considering my first baby was 2 months premature making me very nervous throughout this pregnancy. I highly recommend this Doctor to anyone looking for an Obstetrician.
