From our very first appointment with Dr.Sush my husband and I knew that we had found our Obstetrician. He was so easy going and supportive that it put my mind at ease. Throughout my entire pregnancy I was able to contact him and he was always happy to answer any of my questions or concerns without a worry. I can not recommend Dr. Sush highly enough.

Dr Sush help delivered my son back in March and also performed an emergency laparoscopy for me last week. I was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst while pregnant but Dr Sush was able to ease my anxieties through his personalised care. He was always available for questions and was in constant communication with me when I ended up in emergency due to a twisted ovary. It is evident that he will always put his patients first. I would highly recommend him and would definitely be enlisting his help when we are ready for a second child.

I don't even know where to start to share our story with Dr Sush. He delivered my little boy Harvey on Saturday evening.

From our first appointment, right up to the birth, he has gone above and beyond for us. He is a kind and gental doctor. He made me feel 100% comfortable all throughout my labour and now with the aftercare.
I cannot recommend Dr Sushen Naidoo enough. We are so very grateful for everything you have done to bring our beautiful boy into this world.
Thank You a million times over

At 42 years of age I was faced with having to have a hysterectomy and was referred to Dr Sush. From my first consultation with Sush I knew he actually cared about my health and mental wellbeing and he never made me feel rushed into the surgery or like I was just another patient. I am now recovering from my laparoscopic hysterectomy and I think Sush is a magician as well. Just 2 weeks after surgery I feel great and am thrilled with his care and attention.

From booking an appointment with a lovely receptionist on the phone to meeting Dr Sush for the first time I knew my husband and I were in great hands! This being my first pregnancy Dr Sush made me feel calm and confident that this whole process was going to be a wonderful journey!
We can’t thank you enough Sush for bringing our little girl Amelia into this world! Hopefully we will see you again for baby number two ;)

Dr Sush is one of the most compassionate and understanding Doctors that I have ever come across. This was especially important for my partner and I when choosing an obstetrician.
We wanted a Doctor that would be open minded, pro choice , modern in their practice, transparent and have our best interest at heart. He was definitely all of that and more.
Our consultations were always relaxed and made us feel very calm even if some unexpected things arose. We left every appointment feeling excited and clear on exactly what was going on in each stage of my pregnancy.
He explained everything is such detail that we completely understood what the pros and cons were of every decision we made.
He gave options within reason and instead of telling us what to do he helped us make decisions together based on his professional opinion and our wishes.
His calm caring nature assured me every step of the way. And despite my birth not being how we "planned" I was completely okay with it as I knew he had my babies health and my health as the top priority. Therefore my recovery mentally and physically was very positive.
He is incredibly dedicated to his job and his patients, I honestly couldn't recommend Sush enough !
I was searching for an obstetrician that I could trust for not only this pregnancy but all future pregnancies, that knows me, my body and my family, to have that connection and relationship with, I have definitely found that in Dr Sush and am very grateful for that!

A little about us before we met Dr Sush Naidoo.

My dream was to always have a big family, but life got too complicated because of a long line of medical problems. I was told I would never have the opportunity to carry my own child. The trauma and pain of not being able to do this was unbearable.
So I decided to do IVF and surrogacy.
Our embryo transfer was successful, our surrogate had a great pregnancy and our miracle baby was born in Sydney in 2013.

3 Years later, there's new research suggesting I could finally get pregnant after 8 years of torture. My world stopped but I didn't procrastinate for too long.
I spoke to my husband, made a few phone calls, attended a few appointments and did an embryo transfer. First attempt and it was successful. I was so excited, this was meant to be!

Everything was running smoothly, my obstetrician was amazing!
I was seeing him for over 7 mths and out of nowhere I was told I would have to change obstetricians. I was so bothered and so annoyed as trust doesn't come easy to me.
This was my first successful pregnancy and the first time time I was going to give birth.
I had a high risk pregnancy so this just made everything much worse.
I was devistated, I instantly felt anxious and upset because I had a very long medical history that was so complex. I was mentally exhausted.
But when our obgyn told us he had the perfect Dr, I was so relieved.

My husband and I met up with the lovely Dr Sush. We were greeted with a massive smile and I instantly began to feel lighter in the chest and managed to put away my fears.

Dr Sush,
You showed us so much patience when we came to you with our crazy long story.
You quickly learnt how much this pregnancy meant to me.
Thank you for being so attentive, for being so sensitive and for always making every appointment very meaningful, for always answering our texts and phone calls when we had a million questions and for showing us so much support.
Thank you for involving Valentina, you made her feel so very apart of everything and so special.

The birth was an out of this world experience.
You safely helped me deliver my perfect little being and for that I will forever be grateful to you. You encouraged me to not doubt myself. You would remind me every step of the way that I was a warrior, we would laugh about it, but believe it or not, It meant alot to me.
I'm absolutely blessed as I never imagined I would do this, I was so nervous and scared but you helped me get through it.
I'm incredibly humbled that you believed in me
and that you helped us make our dreams come true.

Never change that down to earth, sympathetic bedside manner.
I'll be knocking on your door in the near future and fingers crossed it won't be complicated

Dr Sush unexpectedly delivered my 2nd child as my private obstetrician was out of town on a conference the day I went into labour. My first child was an emergency caesarian due to obstructed labour, therefore I was booked into have another caesarian for my 2nd. I just didn't quite make it to the allocated date. Dr Sush arrived at my bedside in the full throws of labour to find I was already 8cm dilated. At this point he gave me the opportunity to either go ahead with the c-section as planned or.... he'd support me to try for a VBAC (vaginal birth). At every stage he kept me informed of the risks involved and let me make my own decisions based on the information he had given me. His calm manner and personable nature made me feel at ease with making the choice to go ahead and try for a VBAC. He listened to all my concerns and, although nothing about my delivery went as planned, I had the most surprising wonderful experience and delivered my beautiful baby girl vaginally and I wouldn't change it for the world. As a health professional myself I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Sush to any expectant mother. He went above and beyond to ensure I had the best outcome for my baby and me.

We had the pleasure of Dr Sush safely delivering our baby boy in January 2019, from the moment I met him, he made me feel relaxed and I knew I was in great hands.

Dr Sush was simply amazing, he is approachable, patient, considerate of my decisions, very thorough, informative and open minded about my choice of birth plan. He is very supportive and his level of care is incredible, something that every pregnant women should experience.

Pregnancy can be overwhelming with emotions, but having the right support is paramount to remaining positive and focused and I don’t think I could have got through it the way I did without Dr Sush’s positive input at every appointment.

He is brilliant at following up when pregnancy issues occur and he would touch base to see how I was going at various stages of the pregnancy, during the birth and after our baby was born. I was really impressed and thought wow what a great doctor!

I would highly recommend Dr Sush to anyone looking for an obstetrician, he goes above and beyond all expectations and it’s so nice to meet a doctor who genuinely cares about his patients and their babies even beyond the pregnancy!
He has left a lasting impression and we are so grateful that he was part of our pregnancy journey.
He really is the next generation delivering Joy too many families…thanks for everything Dr Sush you are one of a kind!!

We found Dr Sush through a newsletter at Fertile Ground. I was immediately drawn to his profile which highlighted several professional values that were a top priority for us... mainly INFORMED CONSENT.

We had our first baby 4 years earlier with a well known female OB in Melbourne. At the time I was young, clueless and had a lot of trust in the medical profession. I didn’t know the questions that I needed to be asking. I look back on that pregnancy and feel a sense of disappointment that I wasn’t informed about the benefits and risks of all procedures and plans.

As a mother who has found my tribe and shared birth stories I realised that things could have been very different with my first pregnancy and labour.

During the last four years we have experienced several negative experiences with standard/ traditional GPs and peads. When we fell pregnant with bubs number two I was adamant that things would be different. I was ready to use a midwife if I could not find a supportive OB. I was armed with info and much more confidence. I told Dr Sush what we were aiming for (ie. VBAC with no intervention). We also declined several ‘routine’ procedures after reviewing evidenced based literature regarding the benefits and risks of each.

Not once did I ever feel disrespected, judged, belittled or patronised by Dr Sush. Although he disagreed with some of our choices he respected our wishes to decline several procedures. He also briefed the peadiatrican on our wishes which helped to establish a stress free delivery.

I truly believe Dr Sush is a rare gem because doctors are far too often on a power trip. I hope the new generation of OBs will soak up the wisdom that Dr Sush has to offer especially when it comes to respect, communication and informed consent.

Dr Sush... we feel very privileged to have meet you while you still had heaps of time to spend with us. I hope you can maintain your amazing values as your practice gets busier over the years.

Thank you again for your calm nature, professionalism, knowledge, flexibility, sense of humour and playlists :0) Most importantly thank you for safely delivering our beautiful baby girl. She will grow up hearing about the amazing doctor who delivered her. Who knows, you may still be practicing if she decides to have kids of her own one day ️
