basically a dumplings place in melbourne cbd, but a bit fancier
the dumplings themselves are good and are pretty cheap, the place itself is a bit shoddy, but i guess compared to most dumpling places in the city it's the lesser of evils in terms of cleanliness
the staff are, again, like most typical melbourne dumplings places in the city, no personal service at all but very quick and efficient
overall would only go here if it was close to where i was where i to have a massive dumpling craving
Seriously good dumplings! This restaurant has a much nicer interior than a lot of dumpling restaurants in the city, so it was perfect to take my folks to. Service was just ok - efficient but not friendly in the least! We'd definitely go back though for those delish dumplings!
Approximate cost: $9
not friendly? i guess they go through so many customers
Best dumplings I have had yet. Such good prices so I continue to go back. Great for dinner or lunch. The pan fried dumplings are so good and pretty cheap. The restaurant I would not say is dirty but could do with a nice clean. Service is very quick.
Approximate cost: $12
agreed a bit of cleaning of the whole area would be such an improvement
Went here for a pre-show meal, and was quite impressed. The food was well priced, in-line with the area, and the quality was pretty good. Not the most awesome, but definitely not the worst... above average! The soups were good, the mains were good, and the dumplings were really enjoyable.
I'd definitely go back at some point.
Approximate cost: $10.00
My favourite place to visit when I'm in Melbourne. The food is fast but never fails to delight. The service is good and worth the cost. The location is also great! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great cheap eat in the Melbourne CBD
Not the best dumpling place in town. The foods here are pretty average and not very memorable. It's an OK place to go to if you are craving for some dumplings and all other places are full. Tried the shao long bao and very disappointed. No juices in the the baos and tasted bland.
Everytime my friends and I go to Melbourne we head to this joint to get some grade A dumplings. They have plenty of other options as well so we usually get a whole variety and share.
The beer isn't too bad as well (some different "non standard" beers available)
Will go again next time I am south of the border.
Great food.. Love fried dumplings!! Good value too .. however the service was not as good as i thought.. I found that it is very hard to get the staff attention.
very impressed, amazing food. not a fan of the steamed dumplings, but the fried are AMAZING! great value. the flavours are just to die for. very impressed!!!
Approximate cost: $15
the steamed dumplings are a must-have for whoever dines here as they are large, tasty and have that "soup" inside them. I enjoy the hand made noodle and there are 3 meats you can choose from- lamb, pork or beef. Service is satisfactory- sometimes there is a wait as the store is very popular.
Approximate cost: $10
Sounds yummy, might give this place a try this weekend. Thanks
