Earls Court Motor Inn situated along busy Nerang Street, Southport, is made even more congested with the construction of the tram/light rail right outside the door. Many business along the route are struggling. The Gold Coast Hospital across the road is closing at the end of this month and moving 4 kms away. Back to the accommodation, on entering the room we were confronted with a large lounge/bed area, ample room for four to six people, spacious clean and very comfortable. There were two other bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and the other with a double bed. Very adequate kitchen facilities, shower, toilet and also a laundry. Outside an excellent barbecue and pool area, and plenty of tables and chairs\lounges around the pool. This motel has not got the bells and whistles that would be the norm around the Gold Coast but it is very comfortable, spacious and clean and tidy, and not at all cluttered. Very good value for money and the hosts were exceptional, very friendly, obliging and helpful. Marlene and John looked after us very well. If you are looking for accommodation close to the Gold Coast, Broadbeach etc, this is the place to stay, there is no ocean view but when the tram/light rail service commences early in 2014, this is the place to stay. Very happy, very contented, pity we had to leave.

Very near to the Gold Coast and great value for money! Having stayed here on several previous occasions, I already knew that this accommodation was exceptional. This time we booked an apartment instead of the usual motel room and we were pleasantly surprised to find a very large apartment. It suited us to have use of a kitchen with full facilities. They also have a beautiful pool area with BBQ. Wifi is also available to guests. In early 2014, the new light rail will pass right out the front and take you into the Gold Coast. The Managers, Marlene and John are very friendly and always ok for a chat. I recommend the apartments for anyone wanting reasonable rates near the Gold Coast area. We stayed for 7 nights, 4 people in a 2 bedroom apt which could accommodate 6 people.

If you just w3ant to go to the coast for the beach and theme parks then this is definitely the place to stay. No fancy high-rise apartments with views over the ocean! Just a basic motel room that's clean and tidy with lovely hosts. We stayed here and it was at the price-point where we could afford all the other fun stuff. It's within easy walking (and running if it's raining!) distance of local restaurants which you'll need because there's only a microwave and tea & coffee.

I have stayed at this Motel on 4 occasions and find it excellent. Very convenient to the Gold Coast and great for value. Very friendly staff,clean tidy rooms and Gold Coast shuttle is available to and from Coolangatta Airport. Will definately stay there again!! :)
