This review is for Silverton Hotel, Silverton NSW

Having never been to Silverton before, we decide it was time to visit this well known and famous place. the day was very hot and a cold drink was needed. We walked through the door and was greeted by the most interesting sight of hundreds/thousdands of photos pinned to the wall relating to the many films made in the town. The Silverton Hotel has been filmed under different names over the years. Hanging from the ceiling, were dozens of visitors jokes and it was hard not to laugh at most of them. We ordered a meal and enjoyed the food very much. I'm sure we will go there again if we get to the "Hill" in the future. it's a must if you are in Silverton.

This review is for Whites Mine. Mineral Art & Living Mining Museum, Broken Hill NSW

Visiting the Info Centre we were told of the museum and the interesting and informative man called Bushy White who shows his work, takes you on a tour of a walk-in-mine replica and a short talk on the history of mining in Broken Hill. His Art work is absolutely amazing. There is no paint. Just local minerals formed in pictures of the mining towns many buildings , mines and places of interest. His wife also has a fantastic display of Dolls and Teddy Bears. We were thrilled to bits to see many beautifully dressed dolls.
This is a must for parents to take the kids to learn about the history of mining in the town.

This review is for Silver Haven Motor Inn & Restaurant, Broken Hill NSW

Spent 3 nights in Broken Hill at the Silver Haven Motor Inn and it was a pleasant place to stay. The room was very comfortable with all conveniences expected for a short stay motel. After driving from Adelaide in 42C heat, it was great to find that the hosts had put the Aircon on and cooled the room prior to our arrival. Just outside our door was the pool and a few feet from that was the Restaurant. sadly we didn't get to eat there. although the motel is on the main street,we heard very little noise from heavy vehicles passing by. We were within a short distance from all facilities in the township and enjoyed our stay. Recommended budget accomodation. Low summer rates.

For anyone wishing to view the Gold Coast area, this is a must! Wow! Full 360 deg views are fantastic for photographers whether amateur or professional. The lift took 43 seconds to rise 77 stories and you can watch a tv screen above your head while the lift is taking you up or down. Relax with a meal or a coffee and just sit and look at the view. Highly recommended!

Very near to the Gold Coast and great value for money! Having stayed here on several previous occasions, I already knew that this accommodation was exceptional. This time we booked an apartment instead of the usual motel room and we were pleasantly surprised to find a very large apartment. It suited us to have use of a kitchen with full facilities. They also have a beautiful pool area with BBQ. Wifi is also available to guests. In early 2014, the new light rail will pass right out the front and take you into the Gold Coast. The Managers, Marlene and John are very friendly and always ok for a chat. I recommend the apartments for anyone wanting reasonable rates near the Gold Coast area. We stayed for 7 nights, 4 people in a 2 bedroom apt which could accommodate 6 people.

Well worth doing this trip while visiting the Gold Coast. We enjoyed a wonderful luncheon cruise with commentary along the Nerang River and waterways. We even met some nice people on board and together enjoyed the trip. The service was great and I would recommend that anyone staying there, take time out to enjoy the 2 hour cruise.

Having been to this place some years ago,I had to take my hubby, sister and brother-in-law to dine here. The service is fantastic and the menu includes both savoury and sweet meals. Whether you want a 2 course meal or just some delicious sweet pancakes, I recommend Pancake Paradise. Very friendly service!

Wonderful cafe on the Eastern side of the CBD. There is an outdoor eating area fully protected from the weather. The menu is varied for all tastes and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are friendly and the area is very clean. It would probably pay to book for lunch like we did as it was very busy for a Saturday. I'm sure I will be back again!

We have called in on many occasions to check out the plants and have always come away with more that we intended! They have such beautiful healthy plants and we don't mind paying a little more for nice plants. I bought an Orchid there about 12 years ago and it has never failed to flower each year. They have a licenced cafe if you are feeling a bit peckish.
