Our top brand name German machine finally gave up and I bought another brand (USA) of vacuum cleaner that used a water filter. It was a disaster with poor suction and cleaning ability on top of a stinking tub of water to empty and then wash out the fillthy catchment tank. Instantly cleaning the house became a pleasure (almost) Entrenched dog hair lifted with the first pass instead of spending hours cleaning the turbo head just to clean another few metres. This machine is well designed, seems indestructible. The plastic seems to be much stronger than the German machine that always had bits breaking off. The hose is very long and the cord is super long. As well as being super long the spring loaded retraction mechanism still works perfectly. The only complaint is that the dust container fills really quickly because it does such a good job of cleaning. I'm happy to empty this frequently because it reminds me that it's working well. The design details like the self cleaning filter and the wand design with the control buttons at your fingertips are very good.
