Good atmosphere and smiling staff who give quick service. Tasty food and such fair pricing too. The location is easy to find and use public transport.

There seem to be an array of Yum Cha Restaurants in the city in this day and age and Emperor's Garden is one of them. This was my first time having Yum Cha at this Restaurant and proobably the last unfortunately, once we were finally seated it took another 20 minutes for service and very hard to get the waiter's attention as we requested 2 forks for the children and only 1 was brought to the table.

They have the usual Yum Cha fare of dumplings - both steamed & fried, greens, chicken feet etc. Food was ok, nothing extraordinary and I found prices were abit dearer compared to other Yum Cha Restaurants, but what was lacking was service really and the hygiene of some staff, we noticed some picking their nose near the toilets ( which put me off my food) and the decor could do with a revamp and some of the chopsticks we used were quite sticky.

Honestly I wouldn't dine again!

We always come here for yum cha at lunch. This place never seems to fail for a good feed. The lineups are short and the food is fresh! Definately try the cow offals. Its certainly an experience (good) and the chicken feet is comparatively delicious. The service is quick although the interior could do with a nice renovation. Would definately recommend this place for a quick stop lunch.

When one visits Sydney one should also eat yum cha. My friends and I ordered about 8 dishes including chicken feet, siu mai, prawn dumplings, chicken and sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf, tendon, prawns wrapped with rice noodle and mince wrapped in bean curd skin (must try). There's wide selection of other dishes too and service was very prompt. There's also a bakery next door which sells chicken in sticky rice flour puff for only $1 (great value).

Approximate cost: $15 per person for 8 dishes

Used to be our family spot for a regular yum cha but haven't been here so frequently in the past year. Food is delicious, though the atmosphere of the place makes it a little noisy if anything.

A slightly better yum cha than the other ones in Chinatown (trust me, I've been to countless ones in the haymarket) and you can still grab a better deal! The food is great and I love their mango pudding but the interior decoration could improve. Also the prices aren't as great and they don't have one of my favourite dim sims !

The Yum Cha at Emperor Garden is undoubtedly one of the best in Chinatown. They have a huge range of dim sims. The waiters/waitresses pushes them around in trolley carts and you pick them off. The service is quick and efficient. For 2 person, expect to pay about $50 or more.

Average Chinese food which is slightly more expensive. The seafood is not bad- especially the steamed fish with garlic and shallots. So delicious. The other dishes are more average.

It is one of the worst Chinese restaurant with high charge. For that high price, you deserve much better food and service. Terrible service! Never go again!

Approximate cost: $19

The food is typical Chinese cuisine but the value is not that great and the service can be greatly improved and overall it seems dodgy. I can get better tasting food for better value elsewhere.
