After moving to Melbourne from WA, heavily pregnant and needing a family doctor I was told about Errol Street Medical Centre so took the risk and booked in. I'm so glad I did! They don't bulk bill so its $70 a visit, but they give you the time you are due, you don't have to worry about overcrowded waiting rooms or appointments running hours behind. The doctors are very caring, not quick to throw a script at you but prefer to offer the best long term options for you instead of a bandaid. There are 2 female doctors, one of them works at the after hours clinic at the Royal Childrens Hospital. There is a male doctor who also works after hours at the clinic at the Royal Childrens so I knew my children were in good hands. There is an osteopath who works out of the surgery as well if that interests you. I highly recommend Dr Underwood and Dr McDowell. Meredith the female dr who works after hours at the Childrens is also great with children, but also cares about the parents as well, checking they are okay.
