This museum was started by the ETSA retired employees in the 1990's after ETSA was privatised by the then government of South Australia in accordance with the Federal Government of the times wishes. It shows the progress of the electricity generation and supply systems during the 1900's to 2000. The Adelaide Electric Supply Company was a private company until 1946 when Sir Thomas Playford created the Electricity Trust of South Australia as a government instrumentality responsible for the generation and supply of electricity to the state of South Australia. Groups are hosted here for tours which are very interesting to the historic and technically minded.
