On Sunday we went to Gold Class Carindale for the first time, what a massive disappointment!!!!! On arrival there was no one to greet us. I found two staff, leaning on the bar having a chat. I had to interrupt them to ask "what happens next" No one checked to see if we had actually bought tickets. The dessert menu was limited and the Candy Shop had sold out of Choc Tops. If you are going to charge for an experience, then it would be nice if the staff were trained and engaged.
We will not be back and will be telling our friends and family not to bother either.
Approximate cost: $100
Unfortunately, there were not many positives (except for the movie, which was fantastic) to our Gold Class experience: the food failed to arrive in order, and when it did, it was clearly not fresh, was not particularly appetising and was highly over-priced. Would not recommend.
Approximate cost: $100
Today we went to Event Cinemas Gold Class and the experience was fantastic.
We were welcomed to Gold Class, given our tickets and menus and the staff member offered us a seat in the lovely foyer area. She then offered us a cold glass of iced water while we chose our food and brought it over. She was very attentive, friendly, and kickstarted our experience off brilliantly.
The menu was varied- with so many great choices it made our decision hard! We chose the bruschetta, dips plate, and the fries with truffle salt. These dishes were then allocated a time to be brought into the cinema, along with our drinks. The wine and beverage list too had a wide selection.
The seats in Gold Class were super comfy and reclined beautifully. The theatre is well spaced out in terms of seating. The food was brought out quietly during the movie and was delish!
Gold Class was definitely worth the money for the extra special experience!
We recently received Gold Class tickets as a gift. W eiwll go to Carindale and I can't wait! We've never been to Gold Class before... from the sounds of things, it will be divine (It will be hard to go back to the regular cinema!!!)
We tried Event Cinemas for the first time recently, and have already returned. The cinemas themselves are modern, clean, and the seats are very comfortable. The candy bar has a wide variety of snack options from frozen drinks, choc tops, to lollies and gelato.
One trick is to prebook/pay for your tickets online to avoid standing in a cue for tickets. We have prepaid our tickets each time, and it ensures you get served as priority ahead of those that have been lining up.
The cinema was clean and they have a great selection of snacks to choose from with good deals on drink/food packages. The only thing that might have let others down was that the ticket buying stand was closed so you had to buy your tickets from the food stand and several people in front of me only wanted to buy a ticket and had to wait a while to do so.
Ok cinema to watch movies, bit more expensive than other places. A bit dirty though, there was popcorn all over the floor from the previous movie that they hadn't cleaned.
A nice cinema complex which I have been to many times over the years. I find the prices are too steep but this isn't confined to this cinema alone. Good seating, vision and sound..
It's not as good value as cineplex but can be more convenient as there are shops and cafes close by.
Approximate cost: $12
The cinemas are a bit dirty inside and need to be cleaned better. The prices are good if you have a voucher.
Nice cinema to visit to see a movie, prices are as usual with cinemas these days, a bit expensive i think if you don't have a voucher, I sometimes get a voucher card in the mail for this cinema which i think is very good value because you get cheaper tickets and popcorn and drink.
Approximate cost: $30
