Landlords beware!

Eview managed three of my investment properties in Frankston and Carrum Downs for several years.

Firstly, I regret that I had ever chosen this agency to manage my investment properties in the first place and, secondly, I regret that I had remained with this incompetent agency for the six or so years that I had.

Our property manager did not even have a proper grasp of the Residential Tenancies Act, did not complete inspection reports truthfully, didn't return phone calls or emails within a reasonable timeframe, and we were lied to a number of times. Everyone we dealt with in the management team was either incompetent or inexperienced and lacked training.

I have investment properties across Victoria and NSW, and, at the best of times, it is hard to find a reliable property manager. However, Eview took it to another level.

Save yourself the mess of dealing with Eview. They don't care about you, your property, or your tenants.

(PS I also bought a property through Eview back in 2012 and that was also the worst sales experience I've been through to this day. More lies, deceit and harrassment)

I had a rental property managed by them (Station Place, Werribee) and as an interstate client, I placed my property in their care and relied on photos sent by them on a regular basis. In 2 years, I received 3 condition reports and photos were taken from a distance. It was impossible to see the actual condition. In one report, there were photos of the entrance of the property that does not reflect the condition at all!!

The tenant trashed the property at the end of the lease and when I requested the agent to pursue the damages, I was advised by the agent that the property's condition was in accordance to normal wear and tear. The exit condition report stated no abnormality. The agent refused to pursue the damages and even returned the bond money to the tenant when I repeatedly (3 times in writing) told them not to as I was pursuing this with VCAT. Lucky for me, VCAT ruled in my favour and we got paid our damages. This is an agent that does not look out for Landlord's interest.

Monthly statements DO NOT add up to the EOFY statement. The EOFY statement had extra expenses, amounts not adding up and when I queried, they were not co-operative, they refused to answer the queries. I requested for copies of used services or bills that they paid, up till today, I have not received all copies of used services and when I sent reminders, they were rude and nasty.

If you are looking for an agent, DO NOT USE THEM, they were rude, unreliable, provided inaccurate statements and even raised their voices at me.

Selling with Eview was a very positive experience. George and Katherine were easy to communicate with and pleasant to deal with. We think George and Kath are the ones for negotiating a higher price than expected for our home! We were very happy with the result

We have dealt with eView as Vendors (twice), Purchasers and renters (for a short period of time) and have found them to be the easiest real estate company we have ever dealt with. Their professionalism, courteousness and attention to detail are without equal in this area. Every inspection was followed up with both a phone call and a written note, when purchasing nothing was too much trouble and when we rented, every request was met with courtesy and carried out immediately on approval from the owner. We recommend them to friends who are buying or selling and will use them again ourselves when the need arises. Thanks for great service!

by far the most disorganized agency i have dealt with. contacted 5 times in one day about keys not being handed in when they had already been handed in. at times rude and abrupt. didn't follow through with any maintenance request.would never rent or recommend again.

RENTERS BEWARE !!! if you want to rent a house and are thinking about going through these people i strongly urge you not to, in the time we have rented through them they have treated us like scum of the earth (our rent was always payed on time). we have had a couple of things wrong with the house and have been waiting years for someone to fix it. the house was putrid when we moved in and we got a letter when we handed in our notice telling us what we have to clean and how clean it !!. failure of this means no bond!!!!!!! i would never buy a house, rent a house or have anything to do with this horrible excuse for a real estate agency.

By far the most professional agency I have dealt with, as a vendor and now a tenant. Very efficient agents who sold my property (for $40k above asking price) - extremely happy with the service throughout. I am not a tenant and couldn't thank the rental department enough for helping me. A lot of other agencies did not bother helping me find a rental property, never got back to me or acted helpful at all, especially Harcourts. Disgraceful service. I highly recommend Eview to everyone.

I think you guys are great. i actually was a tenant of yours and owned my own property also which I recently sold through you guys. At all times you gave me the utmost respect and I ended up with an awesome result. Thanks again guys you are the BEST!!!

By far the most unprofessional agency i've ever dealt with. We had no lights in the bedroom for the last 3 months of our lease and the eview agent was completely uncontactable. Same problem now, I have been waiting to get the bond back but nobody returns calls or emails (i have left plenty!!). Even the manager promised me a call back but never heard anything. Its now been over 5 weeks since we moved out and i still dont know what is happening with the bond - all i want is an update! an absolute nightmare to deal with...
