If the customer service contact is the first point of reference to this place then it should be enough for me to leave this review. I called the Chapel hill office today to enquire about the place and procedure with the aim to make an appointment. The woman I spoke with cut me off abruptly when i asked what their address was so i know how easy would be to get there. She told me she doesn't have time to talk about that, that I should google it. Well I did better than that. I googled reviews so I can give them the feedback they deserve. I would never put my health in the hands of a place that employs such people. Patients would present there with a variety of conditions, some that make them more vulnerable than others. If the staff lacks basic people skills, time and patience, then they will only add to an already stressful situation. Those type of people should not work in customer service and particularly in the medical field. Hopefully the management weeds out these bad ones. There are a dozen other places that would be happy to service patients in a humane and professional manner.

I personally will not be returning back to exact radiology rochedale. At my 8 week dating scan everything was fine I was very happy, at my 12 week nuchal scan we had a different lady and she was very rude towards me to the point where It made me cry, Im there to see my baby & make sure everythings okay I am a first time mother so if i want to ask questions I WILL. Do not turn around and make me feel horrible by telling me to be quiet and let you do your job. First of all we're paying you! Second of all I know you see this every day multiple times but for many of us this is the 1st time ever going through any of this! If you're not going to be kind then you're in the wrong job, Third and final thing that completely annoyed me and makes me not want to go back... the tv not being plugged in so I could see my baby and what was going on. You get paid so much Money off each person individually.. how hard is it to fix a tv.. 3 weeks later my friend had her scan at the same place same room.. and the tv was still "broken" sorry but that was the worst experience during my pregnancy and will happily go elsewhere.

I was recently referred to Exact Radiology for a breast u/sound & mammogram. The results of this process required me to return for a biopsy. Although my GP's original referral said they could perform a biopsy if necessary, I was still required to return to the GP & obtain another referral for the biopsy. I was also told it would be a 3 week wait until I have the biopsy. Having never had a breast biopsy before I was anxious as were my family and friends who were concerned for a good outcome & 3 weeks is a while to wait when you don't know what to expect.
I returned for the biopsy & my experience and treatment was appalling.
From the young man who told me to change into a gown, leave it open at the front & then said, well you're not worried about this are you? Ahh yes I was - I said its not normal to have nipple discharge is it - no - he agreed. Lie down, he said, on your side, no your back, no back on your side - all the while my breasts are rolling around & recent unrelated surgery made the movements even more awkward. I'd better find this lump he said, before the doctor comes in & proceeds to cover the area in gel. Ahh yes - I've found it - with the help of the unintroduced student in the room. Clean yourself up love - before the doctor comes in - he says to me. Doctor arrives and disagrees that there is a lump to be found. No biopsy necessary - nothing there he says. Well why does my report say otherwise I say - he says the sonographers take the pictures, make the notes and the radiographers interpret & some pictures can be made to look like lesions or cysts when they're not. Given my family history, the constant evidence in the media of lumps being missed, I asked for another ultrasound - the doctor said to me - you don't look very happy. No I'm not - I don't want something to be missed. Well you've had another ultrasound by me - he says - you're all good. I said they're not your breasts are they! And to top it off when the sonographer casually completed the rest of the ultrasound, he was talking about other topics & when he returned my paperwork & images to me - he included another patient's paperwork as well. Overall my experience was appalling.
Trying to be assertive when you're on a table, with breasts exposed & trying to understand the medical jargon with multiple (arrogant) people in the room is not a reassuring experience. I will return to my GP for a further consult.

Hopefully the final result will be negative, however there was no empathy from anyone in that room, no understanding of the emotional lead up to such an appointment & I'm left with serious doubt as to the reliability of their services.

As someone who tends not to have a great number of medical issues or emergencies, when I have to have some kind of investigation I am not overly delighted nor looking forward to it. Recently I suffered a miscarriage and had to get a pelvic ultrasound, which I was not looking forward to.
The staff were friendly and helpful when I called to make the appointment, found a way to fit me in when they were busy, explained the process and made sure I was aware of everything I needed.
The appointment itself, whilst distressing for me personally, was made somewhat better, again by the professional and caring staff. I guess they have some practice at dealing with this kind of situation (more so than I do) and are really good with people coming in.
Obviously, not recommending this place as somewhere everyone should dream to hang out, but if you are in need of diagnostic testing, then this is as good, if not better, a place as any to get it done.
