Good prices and satisfactory meals and food. Service is fast and friendly and serving sizes are big. Average overall.

The yum cha at Fat Buddha is pretty good, however not the best in Sydney CBD. The service is very hospitable. The prices are expensive though.

Mmmm. The yum cha banquet was good! Hot, fresh, tasty and each serve was a good size. We even enjoyed the puddings they served for dessert (though we really didn't think we would!) The jasmine tea was a nice touch (I'm not a fan of green tea at these places), as was the friendly service, something I unfortunately find lacking in some yum cha eateries.

It was also interesting to eat in a part of the Queen Victoria Building where you can see the old/original features of the building, rather than feel you are eating in a run-of-the-mill cafe (as many other eateries in the QVB present)

Who doesnt love an MSG filled yum cha lunch? Fat Buddha is one of many yum cha restaurants in the CBD and while it might be a little more expensive than others, the food is tasty and appeared to be fresher as often the food was still steaming when it was placed on the lazy susan!

As soon as you sit down you are bombarded with people offering you steamed or fried plates and before long the susan is filled with delicious morsels of MSG goodness. Staff can be a little pushy - often offering you more than one of something so be prepared to push back and say no if you don't want something.

It gets pretty busy so I would suggest booking. The restaurant is small and has lovely decor.
