I was lucky to find this place by accident one night after all the other fish and chip shops were shut.

It was around 9.00 p.m. and usually that means you are out of luck, but this place stays open some nights later than others. And although we came in when the last customers were coming out, they were still willing to cook for us. Very obliging.

Parking is quite easy in a row of bays in front of this group of shops just before the intersection.

There was a lot of choice - flake, whiting, snapper etc. Regular and chicken burgers, steak sandwiches - family packs of 4 flake, 4 potato cakes, dim sims, calamari rings, chips and 1.25 ltr soft drink for $33.90.

Hot and cold drinks and even Mars Bars in batter $2.50.

Our selection of fish was large, crispy and delicious. Other sides like nuggets and chips were nicely cooked too - not over done.

A very handy business in this central location.
