Tried this fish & chip shop as not impressed with others in the area--absolutely surprised-fish was cooked to perfection, chips not soggy-and souvlaki was delightful-Will be my local from now on! Great, friendly staff.

We got grilled fish and chips to feed four adults and we were impressed.
We had four big fish and fresh crisp fries. Not oily stodgy chips or fish here, we were very impressed.
Very clean and spotless takeaway shop with plenty of seating if you want to eat in.
Prices were very reasonable, too.
We will definitely be back for more.

yum yum yum is all i can say, great staff and really really good food, i don't know what type of oil they use there but fried stuff is to die for . big place room to sit and happy staff.

Great service and nice and polite workers. Also good prices & they have those machines with stuffed toys and u can use it to win a bear or something similar.

Amazing, our favourite. We usually get the blue grenadier and chips with some calamari thrown in. Sometimes my daughter wants a burger. Yum. The guys there really look after you. We dined in once as it turned cold (were on our way to the beach), and they went out of their way for us, gave us clean crockery and real cutlery to eat with. We watched tv above us as well...felt like at home. Great guys - they really look like they enjoy their business.

I know Flakey Jakes are under new management but I am not sure when that happened - all I know is that I have gotten fish and chips there a number of times since October 2009 and they are always gorgeous! Nothing better after a tiring day of renovation! The guys (all brothers) work there day and night and provide great service. The food is consistently good. I only ever get chips and king george whiting which is crumbed and grilled.

The food here was alright in my opinion. The burgers were alright but some of the seafood tasted not as fresh. Overall this place was ok. The prices were reasonable.
