This pet supply shop does not sell pets, so they get a big tick of approval from me!
The shop is full to the brim with all kinds of pet accessories. Good genuine advice is always available from the staff. Prices are good - I have compared the prices in the shop to the same goods online and they have always been the same or cheaper in the shop!! I am a regular visitor.

There really aren't too many places to eat in Hastings but Lelley's is a place I have been to a few times and would recommend. The food is always very nice (and I am a fussy eater) and you never feel like you are being hushed out the door when you have finished eating.
The service could be a little more professional and a little quicker, but the food and atmosphere make up for it.

I went to a number of shops looking for mattresses - some staff in some places saw me but pretended they didn't so that I wouldn't ask them any questions and some staff in other places only answered my questions without much detail and were glad when I was done.
Brett in Regal Mattresses answered all my questions with care and attention - he explained the differences between all the types of matteresses - that meant I was then very comfortable in my choice - a mattress is a big investment and quite expensive! I will certainely be going back to Regal in a few years for another one.

I have tried other places for my cats annual check-ups and vaccinations (in an effort to save some money) but you get what you pay for in this world. Although I think they might be a bit expensive (aren't all animal related things expensive now?) but the service and attendion really is very good. When I leave here with my cats, I really feel like they have been given a careful and thorough check of their health, and I always get good advice from the friendly staff.

I have been to Hairmasters a number of times now. Before Hairmasters, I used go from one hairdersser to another to another! The prices have actually been reduced I think, since they moved to Wells St. It is a very relaxing environment, and Maz does a great job with my hair every time I go - she does exactly what I want, so I always leave happy!

Rhett from the Mornington Peninsula arm of this company cleaned my gutters today and did a very thorough job - he removed a huge amount of mud and leaves from my very dirty gutters, did a small repair job on one tile and cleaned up afterwards - you would never know he had been there! I was very impressed!

This dentist is the only one I recommend to friends. The building is very beautiful - it makes you feel like you aren't at the dentist at all!! Truely a relaxing environment. All of the dental staff and reception staff are exceptionally nice. None are in a rush to get you back out the door - they give you the time you need to ask questions and understand your dental situation. I never look forward to visiting any dentist but when I visit here, it is always a good experience. I have visited about 4 times.

I walked into this veterinary clinic and said (with purse in hand) "Please sell me something for my cat who has fleas". I was promptly told that I "wasted my money" when I purchased a flea treatment from the supermarket, and was told I "don't understand how fleas work" and then I stood there (purse in hand) while the phone was answered, then another customer next to me was assisted, and then again (while I was still standing there, with purse in hand) the phone was answered again (!) and I ended up leaving empty handed.
I would say to you - stay away from this vet if you would like any kind of decent customer service!!

As this dentist knows my contact details, I am reluctant to be very specific about my visit, but I have been to a few dentists in my time and I have never paid so much for so little.
I checked my receipt when I left - the "examination" part of the visit ($32.50) took 10 seconds and the information the dentist determined was incorrect, the "remove calculus" part ($85.00) was barely a scrape on the front of my bottom 4 teeth and barely a polish on the front of my top 4 teeth (no checking of each tooth, no dental floss, spots missed which I could clearly see when I got home), and the "topical agent" ($32.00) was 1 mouthfull of mouthwash.
My teeth don't feel clean and I am thinking that I should pay to go to another dentist for my 6 monthly check up.
Stay away - seriously.

I love my cats more than anything and have no problem spending whatever it costs to keep them well and safe. They stayed in Cooinda Cat Resort for 7 days last August and it cost $288 - this included all food. The reason I know they were well looked after? Their behaviour was exactly the same when they returned home as it was before they went there. I wouldn't dream of trusting anyone else with my kitties! I know they were well looked after and have plenty of room and lots of outdoor access.
