Love coming here with bestie for the porky platters of goodness! We always order the pork meat platter already shredded. You basically put the shredded pork into your watm bread rolls and enjoy. You can also add some tangy BBQ sauce for added flavour! The platter also comes with crinkled cut chips with a green spicy salad ( i think it's Korean).
It's enough to feed about 3 people, we also love the Popcorn Squid which comes with a green peppercorn type mayonnaise! Mmm love that crunchy goodness! The decor is great too and will come back with friends! Loved it

I went to The Forresters restaurant last night with a few of my girlfriends and OMG the food is amazing! It's Jamaican/Caribbean inspired food which was very new to me, they also have different cocktails and Jamaican beer available. It might not be for everyone because they use a lot of interesting favours which you wouldn't usually use yourself in certain dishes but it works. The pork is very tasty and moist, the corn with coconut is a must have to try, salads are also yummy. They did claim to have really amazing dessert however we weren't convinced, it was a little on the interesting side. This restaurant is a must try with great fun decor, I'll definitely come back.

I was having a cheapskate night tonight and only went here for the monday $5 steak. Obviously they draw you in with a cheap meal so that you spend your money on the alcohol, thats fine but i think that how ever cheap the meal is, it has to be good or their won't be any customer return. The steak was small and bland and really needed a spray of BBQ flavour. the venue is great though, very warm, homely and cluttered with various hipster artefacts. how did they get away with that fire hazard of a straw roof though? the crowd was typically young Surry Hills, it was pretty busy and had a good vibe with pumping music so i will go back again on a more affluent night.

This is an absolutely beautiful place, and it's great for business and private activities. The drinks are fantastic. The food particularly steak are yummy. Going there every week.
