I called up Fountain Valley medical centre to book an appointment with the doctor as I didn’t want to see my old doctor any more. I told the receptionist that I was a new patient and that I needed medication plus a psychologist referral as my mental health was pretty bad. They told me that that would be fine. I asked them if she would be able to do that for me and they said yes then when I went in for my appointment which cost me $60, she told me that she didn’t feel comfortable giving me the medication, so I asked her for a referral to a counsellor, and she said no because she wasn’t aware of whether I’d had a mental health care plan done within the last year . I informed her that I wasn’t sure if I done one with my old doctor due to that fact, she would not do one and told me to go back to my old doctor which caused me a lot of distress in the fact that I went and paid $60 for an appointment to get nothing done which the receptionist said I would be able to get done and then I was left crying in my car for half an hour after the appointment. I asked her if she if there was anything she could do for me, and she said no I was not reimbursed for this appointment or apologised to at all by the doctor.

Been to this centre previously, during the height of Covid and my mask exemption was accepted. However, today when I walked in I was told that they don't accept mask exemptions. This is a joke! A mask exemption is there for a reason, not only for who want's to accept it or not! I have been to hospitals where my exemption has been accepted! This is not even a government mandate anymore and you are a medical centre, supposed to provide medical care yet using discriminating behaviour and denying people access to medical services and then even threaten to charge them a cancellation fee.. This is disgusting behaviour from your company and you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope that people will vote with their feet and walk away from your centre unless you change this discriminating policy. Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss this further.

Don't bother is you want service or professional doctors. If you are the type not to get sick often definitely don't bother as they won't even see you if you haven't been there in the last 3 years. Service is getting worse and would never recommend anyone go there. Under previous management was my go to place ... never again!

The reception staff are rude. They charged me for a cancelled call and called it a missed appointment. I gave them 7 hours notice. The website said 4 and I am a disability pensioner. The receptionsts have no understanding of mental health issues and anxiety. The reception staff do not listen and misconstrued what I said. They deserve no stars.

I would not go here if it was not a bulk bill clinic. The older reception lady is just plain rude!!! I called to get an appointment and before I even said what day I wanted to see a GP she cut me off and said they could not get me in, she also sighs when you ask her to change an appointment time etc..... sorry but it is your job. I work in the medical administration field and have done so for over 10 years and would never ever speak to a client this way!!! They need to be more patient, respectful and helpful on the desk as it is the first point of call and people are coping with pain etc.....

I absolutely love going here. Our whole family (including my extended family) now all go here. Dr Rammal is fabulous-almost always on time, never rushes you, very thorough and always follows you up. He also remembers you-which is valuable and not expected in such a huge surgery

One of the few surgeries that still bulk bill, which might be the only reason I'd go back. Be prepared to see a different doctor each time and to feel a bit like their main aim in to get as many people through as quickly as possible. On the positive, the place is clean and feels safe and appointments are generally easy to get if you phone before lunch.

If you have a serious medical complaint, go elsewhere, but if you just need a prescription or sick certificate for work, this is definitely the place to go.

There are always appointments available and they bulk bill! Open late during the week (I think as late as 10pm) and on weekends as well. Chemist on site, although they are only open normal hours.

i have been to the fountain valley medical clinic a few times now and have been extremely happy with the service, help and care i have received. i have seen 1 doctor there that i wasn't impressed with however the others have been fantastic. There are many fantastic doctors at the clinic to choose from.....and they also bulk bill!

A great practice- they bulk bill which is fantastic, and so convenient with the pharmacy in-built! The doctors are great, the only downfall is that I have come across 2 absolutly horrific respetionists. Rude, Abrupt, un-sympathetic, dis-organized... very obvious that they do not like their jobs. Lucky to even get a hello or a smile.
