Love this gem of a store! Fox Maiden is my go to for evening dresses. The girls always sort me out with the latest and best styles. Huge range from Shona Joy, Bec and Bridge, Misha. And they always have lots of new things each time I pop in which is great because I find many boutiques can feel the same after a while. Took my girlfriend with me who was in town for the weekend (she's from Sydney) and she was obsessed! A must if you need a dress for your next event.

I would not recommend Fox Maiden. I tried to return an online order and they refused to issue a credit because of a pen mark on the clothing. I did not leave a mark on it and truly believe they did not check the order before sending it out. They wanted me to pay $10 to return the item to me. I'd recommend people read the reviews about Fox Maiden before ordering.

these guys are so cheap and ridiculous when it comes to returns. I bought a dress and it was defected. they claimed it has been worn (funny enough it's a lace dress. how could you wear it with the tags??!!). The sequin was loosened from the thread. but claims they had quality checks so something like that could not happen. Further, more says the dress has strong body odour - that's the mistake that they have made. It's not about the cost, but the way these fellows are handling this with lies and unprofessional cheapness! I will definitely take seek higher authorities for this matter!

We did not expect to receive the dress today! Then only we realised you have sent emails with regards to sending the dress. We dont check emails regularly so we did not notice this. We have already changed our plans after we mentioned to you earlier on Monday to refund the item after you said that it will only be available on the 26th feb. Then you said it was a mistake and that it will be available on the 16th. After that we again asked you to refund on Tuesday as we have already gone with other plans for a dress.

So we will post this back and please refund the all the cost including the express post which we have already paid initially.

This is purely your mistake and you can't keep changing your words without a confirmation from our end.

We apologise for the confusion and for the typo in our first email. We did our best to get the dress to you in time for your event this weekend, and we were able to deliver the dress by Thursday.

We understand that you paid for express postage for delivery on Tuesday and therefore we will refund your express postage costs.

Unfortunately as per our on-line returns policy we are unable to accept your return as the dress was a sale item it is considered 'Final Sale'.

Hey we are not here to accept your policies after you making mistakes and while both parties agreed on a refund. As I mentioned you earlier it's your problem and mistake. I advised to refund once you said there are no stocks and I have gone on another option. If you won't refund this I'll take this to consumer affairs as I got all the confirmation from your end and you can't keep changing as you wish after say no stock. Please refund asap

Furthermore we have contacted consumer affairs and lodged a case and they believe it is not changed of mind as you have offered a refund before. Please get in touch with your response as the consumer affairs waiting for an update too. Meanwhile we will advise the afterpay in regards to your unprofessional and poor service.

After wasting or time they just refunded and now they are saying when the product is damage from there end they pass the ball to us. It is clear enough they are dying for business and they never offer refund and claims its our fault. Any stupid can understand it is the quality of the product. So these kind of people should not stay in the market.

They told me I took the tags off my return and I would need to pay $10 to have the unusable item returned to me. Disgusting customer service by [redacted due to personal identifier] and no reply yet from Fox Maiden for their rediculous attempt to hinder my return. I will be contacting the ombudsman if they do not reply soon.
*I have edited this review due to being contacted by Fox Maiden with an apology and a gift voucher and admitting fault which was good of them to do.

fox maiden is a great little fashion retailer hidden down in the southern suburbs on aceland st in st kilda, offering one teaspoon, wildfox, something else, maurie & eve, ksubi, cheap monday among other brands, and they used to hang it on these amazingly cool thick heavy metal hangers. they've since changed it to wooden hangers, which are nowhere near as awesome (or heavy!) in my humble opinion.
