Its definitely a great day out in summer to go and cool down at this water park

Last summer a group of us friends went along and had a great time

I cannot compare it to the water parks in QLD but this was pretty good

and only about 1.5 hours from my home.

I went with a group of friends and was a great day out. There was plenty to do and we spent the whole day there. There are BBQ areas with plenty of tables and chairs and shade for those hot days. There is something for every age from the water slides to the carousel and the childrens wet play area. The food is a little over priced as you expect in a theme park so it's best to take along a picnic. It was a fun place to go and i would definetly go back there.

Adventure Park is a fabulous outing. My kids had an absolute ball we cannot wait to go back! While this kids rode all of the water slides and did the other activities I was able to sit back and enjoy the wine which we purchased from Adventure Estate (at Adventure Park) it was great value for money. $132 for the 4 of us, no other costs where involved. Where can you these days for a full day of fun where you know the kids are safe and having the times of their lives? I even had a go on the Lazy River which was very relaxing and the kids enjoyed going on a ride with their mum. In regards to a previous review I guess the park doesnt really cater for children as young as 2 that is why they dont charge for children 3 years and younger... I highly reccomend Adventure Park!

Approximate cost: $33.00

We were unaware of certain height restrictions on rides and slides. Unfortunately as a result, our son was unable to go on most of the rides and slides. Very disappointing considering the cost to enter the park

A daily entry fee (you have to stay for the whole day) gives the whole family opportunity for great activities - suits toddlers to teens-paddloes, canoes, archery, bicycles, moon buggies, 2 great water slides, mini golf, mini train rides, horse n cart rides, jumping castles, motorized cars, etc. Lots of trees and grass for picnics, has BBQ facilities and a coffee shop and a food shop for ice-creams!

Approximate cost: $30-35

This place is great to take the kids for an adventurous day out. There is plenty to do and once you are in there are no extra ride charges. There is plenty to do for kids of all ages from very young upwards. You can also take your own picnic along.

This place was fantastic, I really think a few things have changed since the last reviewer went there, including a new area for "tiny tots" as well as a relaxing tube ride in a canal.
Entry fee may seem a little steep but compared to the QLD theme parks it was great value for money. Bonito's Bay was excellent for kids around 4 and up as well as parents. The tiny tots play area is a miniture replica and our 4 year olds love both. You can certainly tell the newer sections from the old and these area's have definately improved the parks value for money. Some old school activities included peddle boats, mini golf and archery all which were excellent.
We went during the week and I don't think I would go at any other time, mid summer in school holidays would be a nightmare I'm sure.

Approximate cost: $35

After looking at their website we thought it would be a great place to take our 2 year old as it seemed to cater for ALL ages and appeared to be a "family friendly" outing....WRONG!! When arriving we were shocked at the entry fee ($29 per person-I mean, let's face it, they're not quiet QLD's Water World or Sea World). Kids play area (Bonitos Pirate Bay) was very rough and our 2 year old was constantly getting bowled over by the older kids. Apart from that all other rides were for kids from about 5 and upwards (oh except for the jumping castle and carousel, which both need some serious attention). To top it all off, we had our personal belongings stolen while having our backs turned from our bags...when reporting this to security, we didn't feel like they cared all too much or did much to help (maybe cos they were all kids themselves). Very expensive day out for the family with not much to brag about!!

Approximate cost: $100 (family)

Hi Pazza1: Having read your experiences and communicated with the business in question, we would like to make the proceeding comments. While we agree that admission costs can be a little steep for some families, when one compares the prices to those of other theme parks, prices are on the lower scale, particularly when one considers that all rides/amusements are covered by the ‘one’ entrance fee. We (along with a great many others) feel that offering a ‘family’ ticket (instead of charging via ‘height’), would prove beneficial to all parties. We also believe that admission costs for seniors/disabled patrons should be returned to it previous price of $10-.

Although we understand why your ‘family’ day was deemed a ‘negative’ one, Adventure Park cannot be held personally responsible for the shocking and unacceptable theft that your family suffered. If memory serves correctly, the park displays signage warning patrons not to leave valuables unattended and they also offer lockers to add an additional level of security. After communicating with Adventure Park earlier today, I discovered that there was only one ‘reported theft’ in the past twelve months, which appears to have been handled in a prompt and efficient manner, as the thieves were caught (and the stolen goods returned) in record time. Although we are not familiar with the statistics involving theft at other theme parks (within Australia or beyond), we would imagine that such a level of crime (and resolution) could only ever be dreamed about by competitors. Irrespective of this, given the increasing quantity of theft within the world these days, we simply cannot afford to leave our possessions unattended, even for a minute.

We also discovered that Bonito’s Bay had the potential to be ‘a little rough’ for toddlers, this is why the park now has a ‘Tiny Tots’ Splashzone. The park attendant I spoke with assured me that they were aware of this problem and as a result, they have stationed a permanent employee in this area to offer ‘active’ supervision. While we agree that the majority of rides are marketed to older children/adults (as this is the nature of things), I’m sure that you would have found other things to entertain your ‘little one’ other than the jumping castle and carousel that you mention. Our ‘little one’ had great fun playing within the ‘Tiny Tots’ Splashzone, boats, train, mini-cars, mini golf, etc.

You also mentioned that the jumping castle and the carousel needed ‘some serious attention’ however you did not expand upon why you believed this to be the case. Irrespective of this, both items appeared to be in good order when we last visited, which was admittedly some time ago. Having said this, I believe that the carousel has undergone another ‘serious upgrade’ and now sports a new paint, polish and lighting job. Given the fact that your ‘little one’ would be around six years old now, he/she would be able to enjoy a few more rides/amusements due to the increase in age/stature.

Although Adventure Park’s Operating Manager was not available at the time of my call, I spoke with John (Head of Marketing), who warmly addressed our family’s concerns and answered our great many questions, for which we remain thankful. Given John’s professional and ‘down-to-earth’ communicative ability, we would like to encourage you (and any one else) who may have experienced a ‘negative’ incident within the park, to communicate this directly with the respective park. Even if you are not prepared to give the business a ‘second chance’, then please highlight any concerns for the sake of future patrons. After all, if a business is not made aware of a potential problem, it may remain unresolved, which is not satisfactory for anyone.
