I wanted to like this salon as it uses organic products but instead I ended up paying $180 for a bad haircut. The owner of the salon kept telling me how "great" he is but he never left the color on long enough so it didn't take. He could see I was disappointed and said he did that on purpose and next time he would make it blond. He cut my hair crooked and his shampoo is like using dishsoap on my hair. So disappointed.

Giancarlo is a superb hairdresser. My previous hairdresser had continually coloured my hair with a chemical product that set up an extreme reaction. I had a blistered scalp and my hair was badly damaged. A trip to my skin doctor revealed that I could never have chemicals near my head again. Giancarlo was highly recommended by a friend and absolutely rescued me. My hair has never looked or felt better. All my friends were amazed to see my beautiful new blonde. I could not recommend him highly enough. I have now been going to him for three years. Marvellous!! Wendy

Shockingly awful and upsetting - [redacted name] rude, arrogant chauvinist.

This was my 3rd visit to the salon, I'd already felt [redacted name] had insulted me by telling me I was uptight and strong (I think he meant fat! I weigh 67kg and am 168cm tall, hardly fat) however I thought it might have been a misunderstaning on my part and I liked the fact he was local and used organic products.

My 3rd visit was going ok, [redacted name] was styling and drying my hair when I said 'next time I'd like the darker to come a bit lower'. Well...he erupted into a defensive rage and had a go at me, I was shocked and upset, I thought he was joking to begin with but then he took my gown off and continued to shout at me saying I was ungrateful when I was actually really happy with my hair.

I left feeling shocked and upset. When I go home my housemate noticed my hair was uneven at the back where he hadn't finished cutting and the front of my hair hadn't been cut either. I paid $230 for privilege of being shouted at and belittled. [redacted name] is a horrible man, I'm shocked he feels its acceptable to shout at a women, a women who is a paying customer.

I purchased a voucher through our deal and it was one of the best experiences I've had in a while. Giancarlo himself cut and coloured my hair. However, I don't know if I'll be able to afford it next time.

Over all my experience was not nice. Giancarlo was very rude and patronising leaving me feeling very uncomfortable for the 4 hour process. The product did leave my hair feeling nice but the color and cut were not what I had requested nor like. Once I returned home i also realised that bleach had been spilt down by back and ruined my jumper and shirt but no one at the salon had bothered to tell me. Giancarlo was so rude I didn't even want to go back and ask for compensation for my jumper. I would not recommend going to this salon.

I went because my sister and i had vouchers from a special promotion that had been running. It included hair cut, colour or highlights, head massage and treatment. We walked in and there was only one hairdresser - Giancarlo himself. He assessed my hair and my sisters hair and deemed it not worthy. We both felt intimidated as he told us what he would do and told us not to argue with him. We were both more than happy to trust him because he knew what he was doing and we had had terrible haircuts in the past. Altogether the experience took about 3-4hours and when we left we both felt incredible. Our hair was smooth, soft and silky and very flattering. He hadn't lathered it with product after cutting it to make it heavy again. The only down side is i saw his prices... without the voucher i would not have been able to afford to go there as we are talking $300+
