Wasn't too impressed by Gianni's. We visited on a public holiday at the beginning of the year. I ordered the Prawn & Avocado Entree and My sister ordered the Avocado Salad. My prawns were absolutely delicious and succulent but the avocado had chunks of unripened inedible avo in them.. it wasn't a very big meal so was pretty disappointing. My sister's salad had only unripened inedible avocado so basically her whole meal was inedible.. We told the waiters but no discount was offered. My mum also ordered a wine which took so long to arrive so we just cancelled it. We ended up paying about $260 I vaguely remember for a very disappointing meal

Approximate cost: $40

Great italian food every time I have been, the wine list includes some good italian wines and the position on the river is great. Pasta is fresh and not overcooked and the pizza is light and not overdone with toppings.

I've been here twice now and both times were delicious! The decor is nice and homely although the lighting is a little dark. All the waiters we had were Italian which added to the experience. Meals were yummy, very tasty and fulfilling. I like the idea that you can have Italian wines to try as well as having the usual type of wines you would expect. Views out over the water is beautiful if you canget one of those seats but even if you can't the walls are filled with Italian pictures, posters, tiles and other pretty things to make you feel like you're in a big cosy Italian home!

Approximate cost: $25-30

We went here for a work function and it was great. Our three course meal was delicious. The highlight however was the massive deck and the great views of the river from the deck.

My son and daughter in law were leaving for a cruise and we thought that it would be nice to go to Giannis for lunch before they were due to embark at 3pm. We booked for 12.30 but it was nearly 2.45pm before we received our meals. A table of about 15 people, who arrived after us, however were served all of their courses including drinks and were gone from the restaurant before we received our main course. My husband and I ordered pizzas and the topping was sparse to say the least and very chewy.

Approximate cost: $25
