I wish to review "Gingers Hairdressing" located in Emerald Victoria, and to express my displeasure at the appalling service I have received there. I attended an appointment to receive hairstyling for my brother's wedding. When I left the hairdresser the style was in place and I was informed it would stay put and pinned all day. It most certainly did not, and was literally falling down at the back of the style from the moment we drove to the venue. It was actually falling down in the ceremony and pinned up several times by my long suffering sisters throughout the day and reception. Many agreed it was bad service and I should request my money back. I dutifully reported back to the management staff at the salon this information, to be told sourly that this " has never happened before" and rudely refused a refund. I was however first offered another hair credit at the salon where I presume they would finally try to get it right. My trust in this business and the managerment staff there was at this stage completely removed so why would I want to return for more hairstyling? It was most certainly a situation where they should have agreed to refund my money. Whilst I couldn't allow "Gingers Hairdressing" of Emerald to taint my whole experience at the wedding it created a lot of stress and frustration and some embarrassment. If I had been a bride or a bridal party being styled for that special wedding day and the same occurred, I would have taken the situation to consumer affairs as it would have been beyond unacceptable. The ladies here are absolutely amazing. After dyeing my hair dark brown,(almost black), I decided I wanted to go back to my natural hair colour of strawberry blonde. I'd been to another hairdresser and they'd put in foils but did a very average job. I looked like I had tiger stripes and was told I resembled a Hawthorne supporter! My hairline was dark brown and the rest of my hair was an ash blonde with dark brown chunks. The ladies at Gingers lifted the colour without using any bleach and without damaging my hair. I'm now the colour I wanted and my hair looks and feels amazing. Almost cried with happiness at the amazing job they have done. Thank you so much, definitely recommending you to all my friends and family. My hair looks incredible and I feel a lot better about my appearance!
