My husband and I dine at Ginseng every Sunday night with friends. The food is sensational and certainly a little different from the average Chinese restaurants around. What also makes this restaurant stand out from the rest is their exceptional service. They treat everyone as if dining 5 star rather than at their local Chinese! It is wonderful that David, his family and terrific staff have raised the standards of dining in Frankston. Very few businesses these days seem to bother training staff on how to correctly interact with customers. David has perfected the art good customer service and it puts other restaurants to shame. I could go on and on about all our favourite dishes, but as we all have different tastes I suggest you try their glorious food for yourself. Anyone who didn't walk out of Ginseng completely happy with the food, service and value is impossible to please!!!

The Food is Modern Asian and has some dishes that are different to the run of the mill Chinese food. David is a terrific host and it is always busy. Bookingd essential for Fri - Sat as you may be disapointed if you have to wait for a seat.
The Spicy Salt & Pepper Calamari is to die for , you can also get it without the Spice for those that don't like Spice. The Glare Duck is fantastic.

Loved it, lived in the area for about 12 months and after trying many of the places in Frankston has become our 'local'. Both eat in and take away are fantastic, would highly recommend!

Our family has both dined and take away so many times in the 2yrs we have been living locally. It is a amazing gourmet Chinese restaurant. Lots of favorites like the deep fried honey chicken. Chef special of crispy rainbow beef yum. The service when you dine is divine. (the only frankston restaurant with a coat & handbag closet?) The table service of peking duck, prepared fresh at your table. The herbal teas, amazing!

Approximate cost: $14.50
