ive been to peppercorn deli a few times. Great shop for imported European products (gherkins, relish, poptarts, polish, swedish, croatian chocolates, dr pepper etc) i do find that some of the imported products are close or passed their best before date and not marked down/taken off the shelf. So do check! The service has always been great, very friendly, will slice anything you order. Dodoni cheese can be found here and their ham is usually cheaper than the supermarket price!

My hubby and i went in on a saturday just before lunch. The place was packed with people and yet there were only 3 staff on! You can imagine the line up with one person on counter and the other two held up answering questions about prams, which easily could be answered if those people looked at the info cards on display. I would also call ahead if you have a voucher for their free baby bag from the bounty bag as they run out of them very quickly and generally have no idea when they will have them in stock.

I love these guys! My daughter started this pre-school 6 months before starting primary school. She really enjoyed it and loved going. The staff were wonderful and helpful. They encourage good healthy eating habits and that learning is fun.

Been several times. first time i bought a pre-made chicken schnitzel and salad burger. The bread roll was a bit stale, the salad long lost its crispness, drizzled with cheap watery mayo and last complaint of mine was the chicken schnitzel itself was cold. walking past this shop recently i discovered that these pre-made chicken burgers are done early in the morning. Not happy. 2nd time i ordered a frozen yogurt and fruit salad in large size $7 (small about half the size was $6!!) the first lot of the frozen yogurt (soft serve) was so soft it melted before i got to eat it, could this be a fault in their machine? However i did enjoy the frozen yogurt that didn't melt before i got to eat. The fruit salad was on the cheap side unfortunately its bulked up with alot of orange and honey dew melon (which was not ripe). The strawberries in the fruit salad were very tart which was disappointing.

This review is for Dreamy Donuts, Frankston VIC

the texture is close to a krispy kreme donut. they have a original glaze and then other flavours e.g irish creme, musk, strawberry, white choc, milk choc. The ones covered in chocolate flavours are high in chocolate not icing, which is good for value however it also means they get sickly sweet quickly (and ive got a biiiig sweet tooth) The owner seems to be in shop alot of the time, so it worries me that they have a high staff turnover? or maybe he constantly trains them in coffee, till etc. Ive never seen any male working at this donut shop either (besides the manager/owner) At the end of the day if they have alot of left over donuts they do a quick sell of 6 for $6 (filled or unfilled) otherwise these donuts are more expensive then the competitiors.

Ive bought several tops, jeans and dresses from this shop. I like their jeans. I find the staff to be helpful and always ready to get you a different size for you in the change rooms if you want it. They have some great sales which is great as they can be very pricey. I do often see clothes and wonder which exact body type the clothing was made for. I like that these clothes actually fit properly! I used several bigger sizes as maternity wear thru my pregnancies as i find that maternity wear in the bigger shops dont cater for my size nor do they have anything pretty!

This review is for Big Mouth Burger Co, Frankston VIC

verified email - 13 Nov 2009

We decided to try these guys out as from the looks of things (had recently opened) they had a few customers inside and quite a few staff on hand. When we received our burgers we ordered the big mouth burger (thinking the signature burger would be the best) each on wholemeal bun. The wait was quite long considering how many hands they had. It was a hard struggle to fit the burger in your mouth, was juicy and oily. The patty itself was a huge turn off, for the price we paid for our meals i'd expect something better than the crap it tasted like. It was mainly cheap sausage meat, full of grissle bits. The bun was hard and crunchy and made it unpleasant to eat. There was nothing special about this place, their chips were ordinary and overpriced.... walking past recently and this shop is empty during lunch hour! its no doubt why!

This review is for Scicluna, Frankston VIC

Ive bought alot of things from scicluna over the past 2 years. I find that if i buy melons or mangoes i have to eat them that day. Generally all their fruit is ripe, ready to eat... and does go off if you leave it for a week. They have opened a meat and deli section this year and i find the prices a bit high, i rarely see anyone buy their meat at this shop considering its right next to safeway, a butcher and a fish monger. i dont mind their sausages. Ive bought a few bad eggs from here and now avoid the cheap temptation. At the end of every month they have a market day, i enjoy market days as they have prizes, representatives giving out tasting samples of various gourmet foods e.g sorbet, golden kiwi fruit, etc. This is probably their busiest day for trade also so the wait in line with your groceries can take awhile and there isn't much space. They have 4-6 registers available to use but rarely do they have more than 2 people serving. Ive also noticed that they dont reduce their bags of potatoes as they past the use by date, so its something you need to look out for as ive had a few bags of green potatoes or potatoes that again go off before i get to use them. I often find their apples and carrots to be cheaper than safeway. I love the range of fruit n veg.
