The food was good. In fact excellent, I had a couple of cakes and coffee. The table service was great. The hosting was the letdown. I was spoken to in an impatient way, because I wasn’t sure how it worked given that I wasn’t here for a sitdown meal, I was here to grab a couple of snacks out of the pantry and have a coffee. Just the impatient, high pitched “yeah yeah yeah someone will help you! yeah yeah yeah take a seat! yeah yeah there’s your table!” tone by the hosts. After I had selected my cakes, I couldn’t remember which was my table, and that led to the inpatient redirection, for example.

I’m a woman of colour who came in with my friend’s little African child, so I’m sadly used to being treated this way by certain people, and that was disappointing. Once you spend the money and clearly a normal member of society, the attitude shifts, but I shouldn’t have to earn that. Should be default.

I would like to come back, but I’m going to be honest about my experience here.

Won't recommend

Great customer service?? It was drizzling when we were there and we had our dog with us so we requested to sit outside. We were told there was only the partially covered area. We agreed as it was only drizzling at that time.. When it started to rain we asked to move to a more covered area. The outside seating was totally empty.. The waiter told us we can't as it will attract others to si there too. And he won't serve us in the rain as he might get sick etc. We already got our meals. Does he need to still serve us? We end up finishing our meal in the RAIN !!! Totally not flexible. And I end up spending the rest of my day in the toilet.

Will never go back again!!!

I went there with my family for a 61st birthday. We arrived at 7.00 p.m and seated it took approximately 40 minutes to be served for drinks and starters. By the time for the main meal to arrive it was another two to two and half hours. By nine fifty p.m. we had not been seen for desserts and we actually took the birthday cake with us. We eventually asked for the cake and bill. This is not a place I would recommend to any person unless they had plenty of time on their hands. Other tables of of person arrived a good hour after us and were served and received their meals before we received ours. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED. Service leaves alot to be desired. There was even a waiter who sat down at a table to take the customers order???????????????

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Went there with my grandfather who is quite old and he took the family out for lunch. He never looks at bills properly particularly if he does not have his glasses. They ripped him off by about $50.00. When we realized and took the receipt back to complain they said he should look at the bill properly in the future!!!

I'm a regular here - their food is great, the atmosphere is relaxed, they can handle prams and the service is spot-on! Not exactly cheap, but not overpriced for what you get either - great seafood pasta!

Great set-up and nice food but was really lacking service. The food is what you would expect but maybe slightly on the pricey side for what you get. Has some great pasta dishes which are reasonably prices but everything else was pricey

A fine dining restaurant with cool decor. I love the New York Times Square wallpaper. Huge range of desserts, especially the sticky date pudding. The best dessert ever. It can get really crowded on weekend evenings.

This place is a great modern restaurant. The waiters are very nice and the food proportions are very generous. It is very loud though, so it is recomened for families with children. Although it is expensive, it is because it is a classy place

I don't know why this place is so well liked, as I have eaten here many many times (It is a favourite of my mothers, so we keep having to go back!) and the food is always average and in one instance I found a piece of plastic in my food and rather than offer me another meal they simply took the dish away and said they'd "fix" it for me, and I left hungry! It is average pasta, average service and an average restaurant that somehow people seem to go back to!

A good spot, especially in summer on the terrace. They have a great range on the menu. I love the salads. They also do quite a good breakfast although a little on the more expensive side.
