Zero points for service. We ordered a taxi and first of all took an hour to turn up. I can deal with that if busy. Taxi rings us and says where are you. We clearly told the operator where we were and that’s where we were. An easy pick up area with clear instructions. Explained to the taxi driver where we were as requested. He turns up and then asks us direction to where we were going. Just as well we are locals and know our way around. Do they not have maps in a taxi. Then he tried to charge us extra. I’m thinking wanted a tip for terrible service. Can this company train their new taxi drivers. Not good enough. We are not happy.

On 25/10 James from Regent Taxis went over and above an excellent rating. He drove from Southport to Coolangatta to take me around the corner to Tweed Hospital at 1am where I needed urgent medical treatment. He was an absolute gentleman refusing my offered tip saying "It is my pleasure to be of help to you". I am super impressed and reassured that such kind human beings exist. Thank you James.

Caught a Regent Taxi from Royal Pines Resort to Coolangatta Airport on a Sunday 10/12. Told by Hotel that cost would be $75. When nearing airport noticed that the meter was rushing well over $100 and by the time we reached airport the cost was $130.15. RIDICULOUS!!!! When we questioned the amount he mumbled some excuse and said that a lot of customers complain. No wonder - what a ripoff. We had a plane to catch so did not have time to debate with him. Will never use this company again and recommend others avoid.

Very disappointed. I had to go about 1 klm down the road when it was raining. The cab driver groaned and even started to tell me that he wouldn't do it. I don't care how far I need to go, but if I want to use a service then I should be entitled to use it for as little or as much as I like. I think there needs to be another taxi company that can make regent taxis get their act together. I have also waited numerous hours for taxis on a busy saturdy night only to be told that I never made a booking or the booking was lost in the computer. If I was going to coomera from here I would get a taxi within 2 minutes.
