Over priced piece of sh*t to be honest. Ended up just purchasing one photo for $75 and it’s not worth it at all. I was expecting it to be framed at least for the price but nah it’s just a piece of photo. Lucky my son is a good looking kid and that’s the only thing I can think of to convince myself it’s worth it.
I can get the same result using my IPhone and get it printed out in lesser cost .

This is a Scam!!!! They get you there. Tell you that you’ll get a photo for $10.
And than when you go to pick up after 2 weeks They tell you that any additional photo is $200 EACH!!!!!! And the photo you get for $10, is low resolution so you can’t print it out. And they pick the worst photo for you. You don’t get to choose. After I got pissed of. They told me I should of read the fine print.

Insanely overpriced photos which my wife bought as she didn't know any better.

As other reviews have mentioned here and on Google, they'll set up a photoshoot day at a shopping centre, get your kids involved, then say they're doing a "promo" to hook you in; claiming they'll give you a free photo after 3 weeks.

When my wife first mentioned the photoshoot, it was a huge red flag to me that no pricing was mentioned at all. (Also there's no such thing as a free lunch.)

The free photo is a low-resolution image (literally becomes pixelated if you try to zoom in any bigger), selected by them. The rest of the photos my wife bought were just of mediocre quality for the price they were sold at.

You can definitely get much better photos at a higher quantity elsewhere.

I wouldn't call this a promo at all, more like a scam.

How do they get away with charging $200 to DOWNLOAD A photo? For $200 you don’t even get one photo you get a download where you can then take it to a cheaper place for a canbas or printout. Because otherwise 1080 for a 5 photo storyboard?????? WHERE CAN I REPORT THIS HIGHWAY ROBBERY

Totally a waste of time and money. $75 for one photo? $750 for the basic set? Not worthy at all.

Story: They approach us in a shopping centre and offered a photoshoot. “ We will give you 1 free photo but if you want to purchase, the SET IS $75”. So after the photoshoot they said we can come back in 2 weeks time for the show.

Show Day: we invited my mother in law - thats how excited we were! Then they show the photos. They are lovely but to be honest its not that good; my son is either looks confused or closing his eyes. Then the lady presented the price range and I had a drop jaw when she said that the set starts at $750, and that its $75 each. Such a rip off! We just chose the best photo and bought it. Not worthy to purchase the set, to be honest even a single photo worth that much. I’d rather book a photoshoot for us they are cheaper.

They just playing with parents’ emotions. So be careful. I was so disappointed as they are not explaining things properly plus not telling the truth until you are about to purchase.

What made me upset as well is that I’ve been accused of taking photos from their computer screen, haha Im not that interested mate! I was just preparing my phone to pay.

Was given a selection of clothes to put my child in and found them all to be dirty and unkempt, an extremely unhygienic environment for any kids to be put in. The photos are also very expensive for what you get, you can get a private photographer that has better hygiene for much better value!

I'm appalled as a nanny to recieve 25 photo's of my grandchildren that cost me $5500. I organised 4 family group/sessoons individually of my grandchildren so I could recieve a family photo taken with all of the 12 kids sitting on a log that would be organised by the photographer.
On collection day I viewed the photo's and noticed the photographers placed my family photo with my daughter inlaws portraits of 10+ portraits of her kids. The other family photo's were 3 or 4 portraits and were mixed up. I was required to pay for the full set of 10+ photo's to purchase the family photo as I arranged this sitting of all the kids. Gotcha photo's purposely placed my family photo with the large family so I would have no choice but to purchase the full family packages.
Do not trust them they are a rip off! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone!!

Your offered a free photo however they dont mention that you are not able to pick that photo yourself they choose it for you.
Prices were not lower then $750 for 15 photos NOT printed only digital printed was gona be 950plus. The only cheaper option was to buy individual photo at $75 each photo and you would not be able to choose photo size as they do that for you and they would not provide it digitally only as 1 printed photo so your not able to go off and have more printed yourself.
Really NOT WORTH IT STAY AWAY. Iv had others done previously with other company's only cost me 200 no where near 750 and they provided hard printed copies different sizes of my choice and digital copies too so this place is a massive rip please dont get sucked in very upsetting that a company would milk young families this way. Ps backdrops weren't the greatest either and they only had a few selections really not worth it all.

I had the pleasure of having my two year old daughter's photos taken by Raven and Mel this week and the experience was lovely! My daughter keeps mentioning it and how the yellow fairy dress she wore reminded her of Emma Wiggle. She felt very special on the day.

Afterwards when I got home I messaged Gotcha Magic via facebook, and also rang them just to confirm the prices for all the photo and package options - so I wouldn't get a shock on the day of viewing. Both ladies I spoke to were very kind and forthcoming with the prices. The packages are not cheap but honestly with the amount of after-effects that go into these magical photos I am not surprised. My dad has dabbled in a lot of photo shop himself over the years (he was a photographer in the past, now its just a hobby) and the touch ups and blending required isnt a quick process.

I am very much looking forward to seeing my daughter's photos and will definitely be purchasing one at the very least. Thanks again ladies!
