Bad move

Went here last Sunday, had a hamburger and a seafood stick, 3 days later still throwing up and going to the toilet. Worst food poisoning I have ever gotten.

2 Fish and chips were good, but over priced, for small serve. Service counter person needs improving. Didn't help with menu options, when I asked her if I could change the order, I got a flat out No, only a minute after ordering.
Menu not well displayed.
Disappointed for our meal at the beach could have been better, after driving 40km, to do so.

Grace Takeaway Fish and Chips is generally the least busiest takeaway shop in the area, but it really isn't too bad if you are at Wynnum and have the family at the wading pool or the whale park area (which I might add is awesome). The staff are always friendly and the prices are good. The chips have been brilliant on all occasions and the range of seafood is surpisingly good. Definitely worth a visit - take the fish and chips across the road and enjoy Brisbane's relaxing bayside.

When we lived in the south-eastern suburbs of Brisbane, there was nothing my children liked more than a Sunday afternoon trip to Wynnum "beach". Beach is my kids' generic term for any destination with water - whether it be a muddy mangrove swamp or a pile of rocks by the seaside :)

Wynnum Esplanade is indeed a delight for children, with an amazingly large wading pool, no more than a foot deep, a stylish pier to stroll along, and an enormous children's playground. But what children always seem to like best, however, is the food. It's here that Grace Takeaway comes to the rescue.

Conveniently located opposite the wading pool and kids' playground, Grace Takeaway is on a corner which allows plenty of space for alfresco dining. Seating is also available inside the shop. They offer a wide variety of fish, cooked to your liking, together with chips, calamari, dagwood dogs, and assorted fish bites. Also available are real ice cream cones scooped from the bucket, along with several fridges full of ice cold drinks. Grace Takeaway is a perfect compliment to your lazy Sunday at the bay.

Approximate cost: $10.00
