I go in here at least once a week to buy a can of Dr. Pepper which is only $2 along with their other great imported cans of soft drink. I'm pretty sure the store employee's probably know and expect me by now as I'm in there so often. I would much rather buy my drinks from there than at a normal milk bar or 7/11 as I'm almost always welcomed in with a smile. Although one negative, one of the women that serve me on occasion is always on her phone when I walk in. It doesn't really bother me at all, but by the looks of it, it bothers others on here. And I do agree it isn't very professional. But honestly, she's not being directly rude to me, so I couldn't care less, I get served and I'm happy with my purchases. Overall, I love this store, it's friendly, nicely set out, has a great selection of candy and soft drinks and has decent prices. Love it!

A great selection of lollies from Australia and overseas at reasonable prices but unfortunately tarnished by very poor customer service. I'm reluctant to return after walking in once to hear staff (in the back room) swearing loudly and ignoring the fact that there were customers in the shop. I also appeared to have interrupted a private conversation whilst paying for items on another occasion - the conversation continued whilst I was being served (almost as though only the money I was handing over was visible). The same thing happened when the person serving me was texting - she got confused about who was paying for what because she was otherwise engaged in her texting session. The selection and prices are good but it's a real trade-off when you know that you're likely to be confronted by sub-par service. It's a real shame, otherwise I'd be raving about this place.

In all fairness, I have to say, I went back to Grandma Jean's last week as they do have an extensive range of Easter goodies and to my delight, the customer service couldn't have been better! The lady serving was pleasant, helpful and very friendly. I'm hoping that this is going to be my experience from now on as I really want to love this shop.

While the bulk sale of candy was certainly at its best, I found the salesperson to be very cold and bitter and quite frankly a little bit racist. If I were not for the imported snacks made readily available I wouldn't even consider this place judging by the poor service.

Approximate cost: $5
