Contacted GGS yesterday morning with a heating issue and two friendly service engineers were at my home by 2:00pm. Diagnosed the problem, fully serviced the ducted heating system (Brevis) and conducted safety checks by 3:30pm. Even had the guys to replace the old temp controller. Service was excellent, safety conscious, pricing competitive and recommend them highly. Thank you GSS Team, you're the team I'll call for all future service/replacements.

Contacted GGS through their website and they replied promptly with a quote for servicing my Braemar gas ducted heating which also had a thermostat fault.
Servicemen who initially attended were extremely helpful and provided great service. Payment was not required on the day.
Unfortunately the thermostat was still faulty after the service and Mark attended the very next day and replaced some parts. He was extremely efficient, professional and polite.
Payment for both service and parts was not required until we were satisfied that all was in good order.
Thoroughly recommend this company and I will be using them again to service my air conditioning as well.

Don't use them. They break contracts when it suits them and they are not interested in spending money the work place safety of their employees. They are unethical !

We agreed to their quote to install an Evaporative air con (almost $4,000) on the roof of our two story house. We pay the $600 deposit. That means they have a contract to supply and install.

The roof is close to flat where the air con is to be installed. They knew a 6 meter ladder would be required to get to the roof. I suggested they hire a platform lift as the air con was 92kg. Don't need too they said, because the unit gets broken down into lighter parts before it gets lifted.

The installers arrive with long ladders. The lead guy gets cold feet. Basically, he is too scared to climb the 6 meters. They leave without installing. Greensborough Gas after making a number of rubbish excuses, say its a health and safety issue. But refuse to mitigate the issue by hiring safety equipment such as a lift platform (so there is no need to climb a ladder and the installer feels safer). A lift will cost about $300 for a full day.

Instead they walk away from the contract, refunding the deposit and leaving me out of pocket a day's salary (as I had to be at home) and no cooler.

To add insult to injury, they offer to sell me the cooler at the same price that I can buy it direct!

In summary:
1. They will not spend money on work place safety of their employees, and
2. They will walk away from a contract because of 1, and
3. They want us to fix a problem for them by taking the cooler off their hands without even a discount!

Stay away from these unethical people.

Review under investigation
This review is currently being investigated by the Word of Mouth team and it does not affect the business' overall rating. This review will either be confirmed or removed once our inquiry is complete.

The photos that you sent did not show how high and steep and dangerous your roof was
you only showed certain angles that made it look ok
You could have shown us the real angle from back yard quite easily
You obviously had other companies there to quote and they would have advised that roof was too steep and dangerous
Our workers safety is number one priority
We advised you if you wanted to get a cherry picker and safety rail at your cost we would have completed job !
But you with your ignorance said that it wasn't necessary so the installers did not want to put there lives at risk - something you do not worry to much about
Also we never had a contract as you never signed any documents as was done by emails an phone conversations
You got fully reimbursed deposit straight away

Again with your review not telling the whole truth as it was
If I was a company I would stay away from you

My 13 year old braemar ducted heating unit broke down just before the melbourne cup long weekend
after Mark explained it would be more cost effective to replace it rather than fix it (spare parts and labour nearly 1/2 cost of replacement value) he gave me a great price on a new brivis buffalo.
short staffed he went out of his way to make sure it was installed and running before the long weekend.
I highly recommend the quick service and advice given.

My experience with this shop with regard to advice and installation of their products is good but they need to raise their game substantially when it comes to customer service. When I bought a Brivis Evaporative Cooler to replace an old one they supplied and fitted the unit in quick time but there was supposed to be a cash-back offer on it. They never got back to me with details as to how to claim this. Over a period of 8 months I spoke to them many times on the phone and in person. Each time they promised to sort it out and get back to me but they never rang back. In the end I contacted Brivis directly and they had it sorted in about three hours.

Thanks for you feed back Bruce - when cash back's are given by manufacturers it is the owners responsibility to claim - on this occasion we did email and call our rep on several occasions and was advised this will be taken care of - I am glad that you have now received your cash back

After the bad experience I had with K & J Woolley I went into the Greensborough gas shop to get another opinion of my situation with the ducted heating and explained what was wrong and what I was left with and he advised if the heater is working do not do any more repairs as Vulcan ducted heaters aren't that great and you could be spending a lot of money. He suggested wait until it breaks down and then replace the unit with a new one. He also could not see how the gas valve will be a problem if the heater is currently working. Very honest and took the time to listen. Will be going there for all gas heating, air conditioning and hot water services from now on.
