When Gurkhas Brasserie first opened in 1995 in famous Chapel Street in Melbourne, it had one main purpose: to serve Australian public an authentic taste of Himalayan kingdom of Nepal. Gurkhas is now one of the most famous Nepalese restaurants in Melbourne still serving the same taste of Himalayan cuisine but of course with added smile.

Serving palate tingling Nepalese food, we cater for all occasions. Whether it’s a birthday party or a corporate function we are well equipped to meet your need.

We also have separate function rooms that can seat up to 80 guests. We can always tailor menus to suit your event or you can simply chose one of our banquet menus.

We also provide catering services for all occasions. Simply talk to us about your event and your expectation. We are there to fulfil them.

Dinner: 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM, 7 nights
Lunch: Open on request

I've been here a number of times and i'm addicted! The food is delicious and really cheap. The service is not really that crash hot but they're really sweet people so that makes up for it. Their take away menus usually have great specials as well and they dont make you feel like a tight ass when you use them! Always busy.
