Tammie is the new owner of this very cute hair boutique. Disregard all the negative reviews you have read as it reflects the previous business prior to Tammie taking over. She is a true artist and I have never had anyone get my hair right the first time. I have very long and fine hair and it is extremely difficult and expensive for salons to get my hair right. Especially as I decided to get a very substantial cut. Tammie knows her craft and she was a wizard. My family, friends and coworkers were speechless when they saw my new look. I highly recommend everyone to give Tammie a call, she will not only give you the best hair cut but the best service as well. Water, tea, coffee, lollies are all provided for free and the cost of your perfect hair is completed at a reasonable price. I have paid over a $100 for my hair in the past and I only paid $65 for a shampoo condition, cut and amazing blow dry with Tammie.

When I walked in the salon , I didn't get a warm welcome at all . Felt very uncomfortable . When I ask questions they were looking at me up an down . When I walk out they said no goodbye . Very unfriendly .

In the 5 years I have been a client of the Manager I have wanted to change my hair colour, style and cut many times, and each time it is following a throughly professional consultation. Abby takes the time to work with you what YOU want and how best to achieve it and my look is always better than I had imagined! From the moment you walk in to this "hair-heaven" salon you know you are in professional hands, where not only your hair is expertly looked after. From the tea & coffee in bone china cups, sweets, treats, even champagne if you're in the mood, to the decor and equipment, it is a class act. If you're looking for an honest review, read those from REAL people who are REAL clients and who are providing a REAL review. People who deliberately provide bad reviews for their own enjoyment are not the people who would appreciate the quality service provided by Abby & Taylah anyway.

I've been going to The staff at Hair on Oak for many years, before the salon even opened. Im in complete shock and am disgusted by the below negative reviews. The salon is immaculate and the staff are always lovely, they go above and beyond to accommodate the clients needs. The work is always outstanding. I've recommended many new client all of whom have also have the same great experience. It seems by reading the below comments these people are unaware of how a busy salon runs. The reason the salon is so busy is because they are amazing. Id recommend Hair on Oak to any one and i do. I'll never go to another salon.

one staff has been colouring and cutting my hair since this salon opened. The staff does a wonderful job with the cut and colour, however over the last 6 months I have to say each time I have visited the salon I have not once enjoyed the experience. They have been overbooking clients. The appointments start to run together and create longer a wait i.e. having to sit at the shampoo bowl or table for an hour with wet hair because the staff have 3 heads to blow-dry and cut in front. Then by the time it is your turn for a blow-dry and cut you have to wait again because they start processing clients who had bookings after you. Very uncomfortable, time consuming and stressful experience.

I was quite shocked when I had my hair done at this salon. Great job done on my hair by the staff however the way the management treated the staff was appalling. It was uncomfortable to watch that kind of treatment. I won't be back because of that however good luck to the staff. You did a great job.

Just had my hair cut for the second time at Hair on Oak. While I am mostly happy with the outcome, I was made to feel like absolute s**t. Management staff was so rude to me when it was clear I needed some assistance deciding how short I wanted to go with my hair, as I have had mid- back length hair for many years. The management staff was rude to me in front of a salon of staff and customers and I left without being totally happy with the results. I couldn't get out of the salon quickly enough. Two other staff noticed that the management staff had upset me but did not even bother apologising. I also had to wait over 20 min past my appt time and then was made to feel like i was putting them out by umming about the length. I will NOT be going back.

Very surprised by the last review. I've been going to this salon since it opened a year ago. It's one of the best salons in the area. I find the staff very welcoming. It is a busy salon and I can understand why, the cuts and colours here are pretty spot on. The manager is a perfectionist and never lets me leave without a blow wave! Any way good to see a local business doing so well.

Wow... Had this place recommended to me but will never go back. Had the staff do my hair and if I had been that person I would have cried. The management is horrible and I was so uncomfortable I felt like leaving!!!! The cut and colour were good but it was the worst experience at a hairdressers I've ever had.

You pay a lot of money to get your hair done and relax, but instead have to watch and listen to 4 hours of management yelling at staff and making you feel uncomfortable, never again...
