I have done both Yum Cha and dinner at this restaurant, now called Crown Place Chinese Restaurant.
Yum Cha is satisfactory by Cantonese standard. I enjoyed the dinner better. It provides authentic Chinese food. The roast pork belly is considered one of the best in eastern suburbs. The live fish is reasonably priced. The cash discount items are particularly of value. Customer service is reasonable for the sort of money paid.
Really nice place to go for yumcha. Prices are still reasonable, although I feel that the standard of dishes has dropped a little over the years. However, the fried sesame ball is still a favourite.
Its now crown palace after change of name im recent years. The serve the Best chicken feet during yum cha. Always crowded and overall yum cha is as good as nearby famous similar restaurant.
Approximate cost: $80
Fantastic yum-cha and they have heaps of staff so didn't have any trouble getting service. Took a little while to be seated but the food is really enjoyable and a great dining experience.
This restaurant was previously known as Han Palace but it has changed its name to Crown Palace Restaurant at Vermont.
The place is pretty alright, dim-sum & yum-cha varieties are quite limited, I'd not it's the best but adequate for a weekend yum cha session at Vermont. Lots of parking space and price is OK. The early session might not serve many dishes as what you'd expect.
Tip: Go to the later session where more dishes are served up.
Approximate cost: $15-20.00
Been a number of times for YumCha. Their dim sums are generally good, service is standard, place is generally clean. Prices are similar to other restaurants in the area. They do make nice crispy pork and duck.
Approximate cost: $20-30
I've been here twice for tim sum. Great siting capacity and the food is quite tasty. The food comes very quickly unlike some other tim sum restaurants. More impressionable is the price is the most reasonable among all those tim sum restaurants I've been.
Approximate cost: $20 per person
Now called Crown Palace. Great for yum cha with a lot of variety and generally fresh dumplings. The fried dishes are always crispy and a highlight. Dinner represents good value but can be too oily. Service is average but is to be expected, this is casual family dining.
This place is now called Crown Palace. Yumcha is good and authentic.. spacious and always busy during weekend.. Booking is essential.. Went there last Saturday and we enjoyed the food..
The first yum cha restaurant out that direction. Good for yum cha around this area. Service is excellent with private dining rooms for functions. Ample parking in the shopping area.
