i have been there a couple times last spring but i decided not to go there again due to the high temperatures inside the bldg. Their air conditioning was pretty much dead and they have a large expanse of north facing glass. The staff told me that here was nothing they could do about that.
Sushi is a potentially dangerous food due to bacterial contamination and the rate of organism multiplication increases exponentially with temperature.
I tried to call the Council Health Inspector on them without success (after all it is Toowoomba). This is of great concern to me as a graduate of Postharvest Technology.
I do hope they have had the air conditioning system repaired by now, but I doubt it.

The Staff at Hana are all so welcoming and cheerful they use a traditonal greeeting when entering and leaving, good to see some culture....The Sushami platters are the best. There are a few different sizes and combinations to choose. They use a fresh wasabi on these platters like nothing else....All the Sushi is fresh from the train or you can order from the menu. My pick is the scallop, a seaweed boat, tempura veg and the hot fried chicken bits YUM....Be sure to get a Remonade to wash it all down.. The kids will love the packaging of the beverage. You can just walk in and get a seat AND THEY DO TAKE AWAY.. All over just fresh and a fun meal always..

Approximate cost: $4-$5.50 Plate eat your fill.

Love this place. The staff are extremely friendly and follow the tradition of exuberantly saying hello in Japanese as you enter and farewelling you as you leave. The restaurant is a sushi train style setup so it's great for groups or singles going in to eat.
The chefs are incredibly fast and the sushi they produce is the best in Toowoomba. In fact the best I've ever eaten (try the California roll it's amazing). The flavours are light and authentic and everything is prepared perfectly.
The pricing goes by what colour your plate is. So it's easy to calculate your bill while your eating which means no surprises at the register.
If the train isn't bringing around your type of sushi, the staff will organise it to be prepared for you and the chefs respect dietary requirements.
All in all, good atmosphere, delicious food that is reasonably priced for the quality, and a pleasant dining experience.
I highly recommend it.

Approximate cost: $25.00
