What a great little place this is! We stayed in a timber cabin with a fire place, so romantic. The food in the restaurant is lovely, very good service and lovely decor. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend going here if you want a romantic weekend away in the Granite Belt Wine region.

We stayed at the Happy Valley Retreat this year. We stayed in a cabin and were lucky enough to have not many other visitors. These self contained cabins offer luxuries of beds and sheets (linen supplied) and delectable breakfast baskets. The restaurant is very popular and was serving nice food. The highlight of the stay at Happy Valley though, must be the solitude. You have magpies and other birds come up to the verandah to eat with you at breakfast, see kangaroos and other wildlife wander through the area and experience total blissful silence. The owners are very friendly and eager to please. A definate positive review for this place - we will return.
