I wasn't expecting much, but the bbq chicken pizza was actually pretty nice. A bit of avocado for every slice. Self-service, at least outside in the al fresco area. Not sure about inside. (You have to grab your own cutlery as well.)

Approximate cost: $20+

We took our overseas visitors here today and it was such a disappointment, I have been wanting to go there for so long and was feeling very let down. The service is ok considering you do the footwork by ordering your meals and collecting your own drinks so it is just your meals that are delivered to the table so realy there is not too much room to have bad service. The meals are large although my chicken dish was soggy along with the chips. The salad was so old and soft and the pepper sauce I order on the side for an extra $2 was white with no taste of pepper and all dry and gluggy. From the 7 meals we ordered I think the only thing really enjoyed was the pizza. It is a very busy Pub but improving the meals is where I would be starting.....maybe we just got there on a bad day. I found the pricing quite high for example a childrens meal is usually $8.50 including an icecream in a pub and at Harrigans it was $11.50.

Approximate cost: $28

My husband and I dined in at Harrigan's Irish pub for lunch, I think the first thing you notice about Harrigan's is the beautiful surroundings it's settled in a quiet area with lovely manicured gardens.

Second thing... well being first time guests we had NO idea where to go but we walked pasted a sign putting to the "bistro" and walked past several door before picking one at random finding our way in side.

Once inside we were greeted given menus, told to sit where ever we would like and order when ready. We already had a fair idea what we would like since we checked out the online menu.

I decided upon the FLAME GRILLED SPATCHCOCK and my husband the ULTIMATE THREE BEAST BURGER. With Chocolate Mousse desserts.

We ordered and we waited. I went to the bar to get drinks given that it wasn't overly busy it took a while to get service. We did also notice that it took a while for the meals to come to us. From where we were sitting we could see the kitchen and our meals sitting on the bench just begging to be brought over... again it wasn't overly busy so I am not sure what caused the delay!

My meal was divine and the only complaint I could have was there wasn't enough of the amazing sticky orange sauce!! My husband enjoyed his burger though found it to be a little dry and a little too large. The dessert looked amazing though I am not sure why everything is covered in berries.. I like berries but they don't go with everything...

All in all the staff are friendly, service could be a little quicker but the food while I think a little high end price wise is very very good!! Well worth a visit!

Approximate cost: $From $29

We LOVE Harrigan's. It's a perfect family friendly pub in the Hunter Valley. Service is prompt (which is perfect for busy toddlers). Food is really really good. Atmosphere is good. We were also at Harrigans for fathers day and it was just perfect! They had a free jumping castle and petting zoo. Highly recommend Harrigans!

had dinner while on holidays, great family restaurant
Meals were really yummy, fresh, good flavors, produced quickly
Staff were happy and friendly, the atmosphere was unique, out side was good then we moved inside and sat near the fireplace.
Dessert was the best with a nice drop of local red wine

Good old fashion service. We had a group outing of about 40 not one person had to wait for the drinks or food. An outstanding day others should take a leaf out of heir book

A lovely theme pub in the middle of the vineyards of the Hunter Valley. It's a lovely spot for a few drinks and a bite to eat with friendly staff and a great lay-out its worth a look.
