Service includes accurate information

'Jim & Ben the delivery men' are worth more money. their calm diplomacy and patience was appreciated.
Craig the manager of the warehouse understands the value of 'Goodwill'. he agreed to bill the store the 30 bucks for assembly of my item.

Scott the furniture manager instore was friendly and helpful to a degree BUT needs a serious update on actual customer service.
*I asked to 'Afterpay'. I was charged the whole amount.
my fault I didn’t check the receipt he handed me with a smile while we chatted?
that caused financial stress and non-payment of two scheduled payments and several phone calls by me.

*told me there would be a text the night before from the warehouse about the delivery time. DIDN'T HAPPEN. Jim & Ben explain that is done by the store. I rang the warehouse at 9am to be told by a helpful Craig that the truck had just left.
I wanted to take up the offer of rescheduling because of an important medical appointment made 3 months ago. what a mess!

I asked how much assembly was needed? very little. I realised I could not do it alone. Scott said "just ask the delivery guys to do it."
I did. THEN I heard about the $30 VIP charge for the first time. THEN it was pointed out by Tracey that my receipt had the words 'delivery "NOT" required way down the bottom of a 30cm long receipt.
My item was then assembled and demonstrated working by Jim & Ben free of charge. after I was handed the manual and wished well. these guys are the backbone holding this all together. they deserve at least a beer!
ps. I received two texts I cannot attach.
9.02am - 'good news! the truck has left. call to reschedule.'
11.O3am - 'sorry we could not deliver your item. call to reschedule.'
*the truck had been, delivered, assembled the item and ALREADY LEFT.

It's time for a refresher on Havey Norman's proud claim of 'EXCELLENCE in CUSTOMER SERVICE' and how accurate timely communication is an essential part of that.

I purchased my Humax TV Recorder from Harvey Norman Lake Haven last year and just last week brought it back for some help with updating the software. This was proving to be quite complex, but Stephen Barnes help me out, and as he was very busy with sales that afternoon he kept it overnight and solved the difficulty out of usual store hours. His expertise and professional approach was outstanding. He could not have been more helpful, and I am so impressed I will definitely buy my home electrical products at Harvey Norman Lake Haven in the future.

I dealt with a guy, Tom Skelton. He was so awesome. Really impressed. Will be returning there anytime I'm purchasing. He was so helpful, nothing was a drama, he went above and beyond. Went to Super Santa day yesterday for Christmas photos and they were very helpful. There was no line as it was Wednesday and the photographer and santa were very cheerful and pleasant to deal with. Plus due to the super Santa day Santa photo packages were half price, unfortunately it was only for the one day. A great experience

Checked that they had a laptop in stick using the Harvery Norman website. I rang them and they said that they only had one left. I asked if they could hold it for me as I was in Newcastle and it would take me an hour and a half to get ready and get down there. They said that they would hold it for 4 hours for me and then said actually, if you don't mind I will invoice it to you now and then no one else will be able to claim it. I said that sounds great and gave the required details. I headed down to collect it and 1 hour and 10 minutes after my phone call when I was almost at the store they called me and said that they had just sold the laptop to someone else. When I questioned how that could happen if it was already invoiced to me, and if my invoice needed to be cancelled before the sale to someone else could take place the person on the phone said, "Yes, but I didn't do it."
