Over the holiday period I visited Goolwa and enjoyed lunch here. Very nice pie and coffee and I was able to eat inside at a table. A busy and popular bakery

Sounds like another bakery for us to try, I do enjoy a good pie.

This is a very busy and popular bakery. We were lucky to find a table. The pies were nice, although my steak and bacon pie was fairly bland and I could neither see nor taste any bacon. Still, they were fine, as were the cakes we had. No complaints.

Approximate cost: $14

I need to try this bakery. If I ordered the steak and bacon pie, I would expect to taste that it had bacon in it, I will not be trying this pie to avoid disappointment

I've had many a breakfast here before work. Great egg and bacon muffins and toasties. Good coffee and friendly staff. You can even get some gourmet ingredients to purchase and take home with you

The name says it all. A vast selection of pies and pasties at competative prices. All the sweet fare we like plus wraps, lucious sandwiches and more. $11.00 for pie, cake and drink. Located in Cadell Street

Approximate cost: $11.00 for pie cake and drink

On entering this bakery you notice the array of kettles and old tea pots displayed around the shop together with posters and signs from years ago. On approaching the counter one can see the array of over 50 flavours of home-made pies, pasties and rolls, breads, buns and an array of cakes, tarts and other pastries. This establishment is reputed to have the "largest range on the Fleurieu" They are open 7 days a week from 6.30am. The shop is very clean and the glass doors behind the counter are closed immediately after an item is removed which is not the case in some bakeries I have been to. The staff were friendly, courteous helpful and talkative. Our order was served promptly and was hot on arrival. The pies were scrumptious and juicy with plenty of filling. Just above the counter behind the serving staff was an award presented by the Royal Adelaide show. It was first prize in 2012 and was awarded for "Professional Baking - Breads" Well earned and well deserved as far as we were concerned. We will definitely be returning to this bakery when next in the area.
