I called the Clayton office this morning and the person who intercept my call is the most unfriendly, rudest with poor customer service. People who answers phone should get at least the very basic of training on how to answer the phone in a way that they are not pushing their potential customer away.

Rented a Mini for my wife for her birthday. Pick up at Melb Airport.
The car was perfect, and the staff so friendly and enthusiastic made my wife feel very special and made the whole day a wonderful experience, the only down side was having to return the car!!! A much better company than Thrifty by whom we have been let down more than once.

Hertz cars are always clean and with full tanks. You just pick up the keys for the car that you booked and that is all. Some times you have to wait several minutes, but I think that is not a problem at all.

I usually rent a car from other rental car companies, but hertz staff was very kind and they are offering some offers to beat other companies. pick up service was great and also returning vehicle was very easy and quick

I rented a car from Hertz online booking system. The online system is very informative and no problem getting a car booked. The phone service is bad but pick up service was satisfactory.

Used these guys on a recent trip to Melbourne, service was very good and would have no problems recommending them to friends or family and would use them again. Found service was better than other rental car places i've used in the past

I rented an economy car using the internet booking system, when I arrived I was upgraded from a Yaris to a Corolla for no extra cost. This was a fabulous surprise and definitely made the drive along the Great Ocean Road much more enjoyable. The only downside is the location of their office, there's no petrol stations nearby - which makes it difficult to fill up the fuel tank before you return the car.
I was slightly late returning the car - about 45 mins - due to traffic and wasn't charged any extra.
Also - they are adhering to the current water ban and not cleaning the cars inbetween rentals, definitely a gold star in my book!
