Hitoshi Sushi

Do not underestimate how great this place is - the location in Ringwood Plaza may give the impression it is just a run-of-the-mill sushi place in a shopping strip, but it is so awesome. The service is great (really fast and very polite staff) it's amazing value (about $10-11 for a fresh and relatively healthy dinner is unbeatable) and it's delicious! We also ordered catering from them as part of our wedding and everyone raved about how great the food was.
I don't eat much seafood, but I LOVE the vegetarian bento box, and there is so much in there, I usually have leftovers to take for lunch the next day.
If you don't feel like cooking, but still want something healthy, get Hitoshi - usually ready in about 5 minutes and excellent value.

Whenever we feel like Japanese, we won't hesitate to go to Hitoshi. The reasonable prices mean that we don't have to think twice. We love the various bento boxes which we like to order a few different ones and share so we get a variety. The quality of food is consistent after so many years.

I ordered a bento box for lunch. I received it quickly. It was piping hot, and the food was fresh and delicious. I will return here when in the area.

Hitoshi Sushi was great. I was past this area one time and wanted some Japanese food. The sushi selection was delicious, I had to buy extra! The food was seasoned so evenly, very delicious indeed.

nice sushi & tea, great customer service!! i love the combination and more choices to choose. on that day, my friend's birthday, the boss gave me plates, knife and sparkleis to celebrate.

This is the best sushi ive ever had, its as simple as that. i only had a couple of sushi rolls but will definitely be back to try out other things on the menu. Ive lived in Ringwood for 9 years and im kicking myself that i didnt find this place earlier!

Excellent Sushi, real Japanese Restaurant Quailty at Sushi Shop prices. Unlike some Sushi shop, you don't need to add soy sauce to the sushi, it's seasoned perfectly, the way Sushi should be.

It's always a friendly atmosphere, excellent service and the menu is varied enough so that you get a good appreciation of overall Japanese cuisine without feeling as though you're bogged down with choices.

I must say i have been here a few times now, normally I go to Yamabuki in Williamstown, Vic. But i thought id try a new place and this was worth it. Delicious and affordable.

I am absolutely in LOVE with Hitoshi Sushi. This place has become my second home since January 2007 when I began working across the road. The staff are fantastic; in fact, I think they are more like family to me now.

They have a large selection of meals. The bento boxes are seriously the best value for money and are huge! I can't go past 3 sushi rolls on a daily basis. They are very filling and freshly made!

They are willing to take phone/fax orders also and always have them prepared in time.

I don't buy sushi any place else.

I live in Ringwood and have tried out all the local sushi bars and this one is by far the best! Hence I have been going there for about 3 years. The food is always freshly made and there is a nice community vibe there because so many regulars come in. My boyfriend is a high level coeliac and they have gluten free options and took the time out to explain what ingredients they use and how they avoid gluten which was great. The owners are really lovely. I sometimes have the noodles which are a nice change, but I can't go past their sushi.. MMMMMMMmmmm I highly recommend it, they are a really good size and great value. There's a nice area to sit down and I sometimes take friends there for lunch and a chat and they always love it :-)

Great service, good food, large serving and extremely good value for money. Bento boxes and sushi rolls are my favourite. Party Platter is one of the best buy and the staff are friendly too. Best sushi I had ever had in Melbourne !!! They accept Entertainment Book voucher and 25% off the whole bill that make it really cheap. They also do private functionson request. One more thing to mention is the menu caters for straight vegetarian, gluten free customers and feel free to ask for question about food allegery. They are really helpful with this. Like the teriyaki steak and I think it is the best I had ever had too.

A great little take-away Japanese place located in Ringwood. As well as "sushi" (or the Australian equivalent), they do great bentos (lunch boxes).

The Tempura Don is fantastic and very authentic. Prices are reasonable ans the staff are extremely friendly. Food is cooked when you order and service is speedy.
