Perfectly good fish and chip shop that is pretty popular amongst the natives of Williamstown. The quality of the fish and chips is good, however there are better in the immediate vicinity. The service provided is excellent however - there are no issues with the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The quality of the batter and the chips are good.

The guys who run this shop are almost as worth coming for as the fish. They are a zany bunch, all one big extended family. They give me a friendly greeting and ask after my family every time I go in there.

Of course the fish is wonderful, with that smooth, tasty batter I like and just a little crunchy at the edges. Potato cakes are a must here too and they always give me more than I actually ordered. Fried dim sims and corn jacks are cooked to perfection.

My husband has the grilled flake and they're never small apologetic pieces either - nice and big. It's not the batter that makes up the size. Their pieces are good value.

They went through a stage where I didn't like their chips - maybe they changed oil or something, but they're back now to being big and delicious.

Parking in this other main street of Williamstown can be a pain. There's middle of the road parking, but all the shops up in this section are popular so sometimes there's no spots. Go down to the next cross street - Cecil - and park there. It's just a short walk around the corner.

I always come out of here with an armful of good tucker and a smile.
