Look, I was really impressed when I went here. I have only ever been to the old Wollongong and shellharbour Hog's Breaths apart from this.... But this place really did shine out from the pack. The fit outs were modern, the toilets much newer which is nice. The service was quick and it just had a much better feel to it than any of the other places I had been. Very very happy with the place. Would recommended for sure

I like the food, but it's a tad expensive for what you get. My partner was still hungry after his steak (he only got three curly fries on his plate) and went home and ordered pizza. Not good to be hungry after paying over $70 for lunch for two people.

While I enjoyed my meal, I would be reluctant to go back. The music was turned up way too loud, and as a result, people had to speak loudly to be heard. Even with the restaurant only 1/4 full, it was so noisy that I had a headache by the time I left (and I rarely get headaches).

Service was good - but not worth the noise and the $$$

Approximate cost: $35

The premises are pleasant with a nice atmosphere, the food however was below average with one of our party sending back their meal due to bones in the fish fillet, fish was overcooked, salmon was disappointing and steak overcooked.

Approximate cost: $25.00

The new premises are really nice and fresh, much nicer than the Wollongong site.
The service was quick, although we would have preferred to have finished our entree before mains were served.
I have had a better steak at the Wollongong Hogs Breath when it was in operation. I had the lite steak which I always have, my husband had a normal meal. We are frequent diners, and I had a birthday card, so it made the meal VERY reasonable. The whole meal cost us a bit more than $30.
Whilst I like individual service, I don't like waiters who ask you in the middle of your meal if you are happy with everything. I would prefer that to happen at the end of the meal.
Overall, an enjoyable experience. I would go there again.

Approximate cost: $30

This is a new Hog's breath cafe in a grat location - really lovely sitting up on the open air balcony on a nice night.

Service was great, we never waited long before a waiter/waitress was at our table to make sure that all was going well and if we needed anything.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing. I ordered a steak and ribs combo. The steak was as thin as minute steak and full of fat and gristle. I was picking onion skin out of my salad.

Husband's meal was the avocado steak, he enjoyed it. It was cooked as he asked.

Prices were a discouragement, my meal was over $31, I expected a lot more for that, especially after trying the 4 ways grill and Seafood in Wollongong last month, ordering the same meal for $26 and the quality was outstanding.

I wont go back.
