First time dealing with Hornsby Prestige Smash Repairs as was directed by my insurance Co. to get a small bingle fixed up. All staff I dealt with were friendly and professional. Job was promised in 3 days and they stuck to that timeline. Car received back repaired to great standards and was cleaned inside and out really nicely. Thanks. Allan.

Hornsby ‘Prestige’ Smash Repairs is unprofessional ‘repair’ shop! The air conditioning of my car was working before the not-at-fault accident, but not afterwards. The damage to my car was at the front left-hand side - the air conditioning unit is located at the front left-hand side (of engine bay). When I dropped off my car, I told them that the air conditioning wasn’t working - so I gave them the heads up on this problem. When I went back to pick up my car, I asked about the air conditioning. They didn’t even check it! Then they said that the damage was nowhere near the air conditioning unit (in a desperate lame attempt to shirk responsibility) - like I said, damage done to front left hand side; AC located at the front left-hand side! Not only that, but the front left-hand indicator also wasn’t working, so had to waste more time taking it back to get that fixed (seriously, they couldn’t even check if the indicator worked, relating to the area of damage)! There is also a scratch on the bumper where they reinstalled the front grill! And they obviously think this is acceptable work & conduct!
I called my insurer, they had their assessor call me, where he stated that it was obvious that the AC unit would have been affected (due to the nature of the accident - he inspected the photos of damage) & that they should have inspected & repaired the AC. He also stated that Hornsby ‘Prestige’ are incompetent & that they had violated a few of the insurance company’s procedures!
I will not be taking my car back to this shop to get the remaining repairs done - they cannot be trusted & they don’t do a professional job. I now must waste more of my time sorting this out with someone else. It seems Budget Direct & NRMA have them as part of their preferred ‘repairers’. Don’t go there! It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest that both insurance companies (eventually) get rid of them.
Reading the reviews here, the ones that gave five-star reviews are likely for minor jobs… &/or by people who couldn’t care much about the status of their vehicles. If you do care about the status of your vehicle, keep well clear! Pay a bit extra on your policy for your own repairer option - as going through this ordeal isn’t worth the dollars saved!

I was involved in a car accident and had my car taken to a panel beater in Silverwater. This was one of my insurance companies 'approved repairers' and god was it an awful experience. The guy quoted all second hand parts for a brand new Mitsubishi Triton and the repair quote was pathetic. He then offered to buy the car from me as a cash settlement which is a huge conflict of interest. It was at this point that I refused to have my car repaired by this monkey.

The car was then taken from Silverwater to Hornsby and that's where things started to get done properly.

From the moment my car arrived on the tow truck at Hornsby Prestige smash Repairs Bill (the owner) gave me a call to let me know it had arrived. He then provided me with play by play updates to let me know the status of my car from ordering parts, to fitting parts, calibrating parts, re-spraying etc. He even gave me a call to let me know one of the parts he received for my car arrived damaged so he refused to take it.

In short, Bill and the team at Hornsby Prestige Smash Repairs are extremely professional, friendly and most importantly as trustworthy as they come.

The difference between these guys and the first panel beater who was my insurance companies ''approved repairer'' is like comparing chalk to cheese.

I was very impressed with the service I was provided with and my car looks brand new again.

I received excellent and quick service from this business. I needed a scratch on my car repaired urgently so I called them up on the day and they said that I should bring it on today. The car was ready in 2 days and the job they did was excellent.
I paid a fair price and was very happy with the service.
